The last officer...

Mason has to ask him

"do you know what a flat affect is?"

Why would he ask him this? He's clearly intelligent, clearly knows how to do his job? I think that was tremendously disrespectful. Particularly as he'd already answered the question about the flat affect of Casey....
OK...I'm going to go "there". The white southern lawyer acting condescending towards a black witness looks VERY bad. I agree...that LE officer came off as intelligent and knowledgeable about his job. BAD CHENEY MASON...VERY BAD.

At the risk of sounding sexist, are they really trying to make something about the difference between a man's reaction and a woman's reaction to a missing grandchild? My DH would NOT be shrieking "the baby's missing!" He'd be terribly concerned, of course, but his behavior would be different then MY being upset and crying.

"Flat affect...you know what that means, don't you"...HOW CONDESCENDING that Mason is!

I think he's trying to prove that both Casey and George were calm because they both "knew"....

Why would he ask that question about the affect? I have some theories and I don't like them in regards to the manner Mason treats people.

Could George just have been in shock? Geez everybody reacts differently to a crisis.

I didn't want to say it, but I believe that to be true. He really is a piece of cr*p, Mason that is.... he, Bozo, they all make one great team.

Yep, you went there, but Im following Agreed!

Only thing George needs to worry about is that the defense will probably compare this described calm George vs the angry George with the water hose on his front lawn.. Didn't he spray the hose at the protesters?

I don't think, a man would necessarily be calm in that setting. I have seen men rant and rave when they are upset...even cry. I don't really, think it's a "man vs. woman", reaction. Maybe, personality difference, or possibly, he did have prior knowledge of Caylee's death/disappearance?

I'm sure he is. But that's ridiculous. Hopefully the prosecution can make sure the jury knows just how ridiculous it is.

But those are two totally different situations. In the first, you HOPEFULLY stay calm so that you can help in the efforts to find your granddaughter. In the 2nd, your home and family are physically and verbally under siege by protesters and media. Surely the prosecution can set the jury straight on that! (I hope.)

Off topic...RI is under a tornado watch.

I don't agree.

:confused:You believe, all men react one way and women another?
Why, yes! Yes I do! ;) LOL

I don't agree ALL men or ALL women react a certain way. I gave my example of MY husband and in the same position, he would be acting the same as George and I think that MANY men would not get hysterical in the manner that CINDY was, but that women would be MORE likely to react like Cindy than men.

I also disagree that George knew anything. That's what *I* believe. I posted what MY opinions were about the possible, and in my opinion, PROBABLE scenario of George's behavior and why.

Hope that helps. :goodvibes

Wow, that girl can lie. They just flow off of her tongue with hardly a thought.

You can hear through Casey's voice that she's lying. She's telling the detective everything in a fast and round-about way.

she has NO shame while hearing herself tell all those huge lies....none.I would be soooo ashamed in that court. If I were on the jury I would notice how SHE reacts to listening to herself tell all those lies!!

Listening to this audio is making me angry all over again.

SHE HAS ZERO EMOTION. NONE!!! If I was in the police station being interviewed about a missing child, I would be emotional like crazy. She just doesn't care. At all! Oh, I lost sim card, this is why I can't call my made up nanny or friend.....

George was in law enforcement for years, he had been trained to be calm in extreme circumstances. My opinion, his reaction or lack of one means nothing.

Anyone else getting dizzy listening to this recording? This Zenaida has been everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

Ditto! It's truly amazing.
