I'm not sure if they will bring that up or not.

I am not certain what motive prosecution is going for at this moment.

So far, they are just establishing that "something happened" and "casey told noone".

Haven't gotten to WHY.

Anyone know if they are going to get to that? I'm not certain when they would discuss motive.

The state doesn't have to provide a motive. I would imagine giving a plausible one would help, but not necessary.

Quick question, I was in and out all day, mostly out, I saw that Tony and Cindy had been called to the stand, were they the only ones? And, did the defense Cross Examine Cindy?

no that's true but people want a motive.

they want to knwo why she would do such a thing and want to be able to say - that's just not good enough

jury's need a reason for someones actions - if it's not provided they tend to have a hard time with the whys

Does anyone here remember seeing a clip from the memorial service the Anthony's held for Caylee? Casey of course was in jail at the time but Lee spoke directly to Casey at the end of his tribute portion and said something like "CMA...I'll always keep my promise to you" - I want them to get him on the stand and I want to know what he knew about all of this.

I watched the entire court session this morning. Cindy is a strong woman. The state went through the days before and after Caylee went missing. She ended on the day Cindy went to Universal to look for Caylee. Then the state mentioned Cindy developing a myspace page, Biaz didn't like that, after a few sidebar discussions, Judge Perry released the jury, telling them to enjoy their 2 days off. There was no cross. The state is still questioning her.

My heart broke for Cindy. She asked the judge if she could turn the monitor away, it was hard to look at a picture of Caylee. She also broke down when the state admitted a picture of Caylee's playhouse. It was so precious, it even had a little mailbox. She also mentioned that whenever they were not using the pool, the ladder was removed. Makes me wonder how the defense will spin Caylee getting into the pool all by herself ultimately causing her to drown.

I never liked Cindy Anthony because she was so combative but today on the stand I felt sorry for her. I could see how much she loved her granddaughter and the way they fixed up the backyard with the little house etc. I think they tried everthing with Casey and nothing worked. It is impossible to understand how a mother can kill their own child but look at Susan Smith, she did it for some guy she was in love with. All these cases are impossible to understand but nevertheless they have happened. I feel very sorry for George Anthony but I always did. Thats it for today, we'll have to wait for Tues.

I had a revelation this morning about Casey's tattoo. I think the defense team is going to say she did it to commemorate Caylee in a non-obvious way-- to celebrate Caylee's "beautiful life." Anyone else think this is plausible?

Oh my....I hadn't thought of that, but it does seem very plausible to me, I will be surprised if the defense doesn't go for that as an explanation, if Casey herself ends up testifying.

Today was the first I have gotten to actually see any of the trial, I saw most of Cindy's testimony rebroadcast this afternoon on HLN. I just wanted to hug her, I can't even imagine the pain she's in. It is so obvious how cherished that little girl was, at least by her grandparents, when you look at that yard with Caylee's little play area, the house, mailbox, sandbox, picnic table, all adorably landscaped. I kind of teared up when she was talking about the pavers under the house put there because they didn't want Caylee having to sit in the grass & dirt when she played in there, it was hard to hear that after last night I read the medical examiner's report about how poor little Caylee's body was thrown away in the woods. They so obviously did everything to have her comfortable and protected and that is how she ended up

I would make a terrible juror, because I firmly believe Casey is guilty, there is just too much circumstantial evidence for me to see it any other way. I don't know what the defense could say that would make me change my mind. I hope the state has some powerful forensic evidence that leaves absolutely no doubt, because I fear that this could end up a hung jury if anybody actually believes the molestation accusations against George.

I know they want a motive, but I was just saying that the prosecution isn't required to give one. I DO think they WILL suggest possible motives...Casey wanting to live the good life, Casey wanted to keep Caylee from Cindy...something.

That whole CMA thing at the service was creepy. And yes, I definitely think Lee knows more than he's said. I think he was sending that message to Casey, possibly about never telling what he knows, but at the same time, with CMA being Caylee's initials, he can always create a cover story.

IF Lee is covering for Casey, I hope he "gets his". I wonder what his fiance Mallory has asked of him since this all began. I don't see a marriage in their future. She seems way too normal.

Outside of regular news sound-bites, I've only begun seriously following this case since opening arguments. Currently slogging my way through released public document interviews. (Those with Lee, Amy, Jesse were especially enlightening.)

I'm unable to access the link on the 1st page of "AMAZING timeline" and hope those of you following the case religiously can enlighten me and/or point me to info about the Anthony family dynamics prior to disappearance/death of Caylee...specifically the time period beginning from Caylee's birth?

Who generally watched Caylee on a day-to-day basis after her birth?

When did KC first claim to return to work (either with friends or family):

When did "Zani" come into the picture?

I firmly believe that Casey is responsible for the death of Caylee but what I am not so sure about is that it was actually premeditated murder, that she actually planned to kill her. I know about the internet searches in March for neck breaking and chloroform...and that's really the main reason I am not totally convinced it was an accident but it is so hard to understand how a mother could do that, even though we know it happens. I think it's very possible that Casey was drugging Caylee so she could go out and party and either accidentally overdosed her or left her in the car where she suffocated. Or maybe she really did accidentally drown, but I do NOT believe George found her and then helped Casey dispose of the body and cover it up. First off I don't believe he would do that, secondly, if for some crazy reason he would, I am sure he could have done a better job of concealing the body than Casey apparently did.

I think that if it was an accidental overdose, Casey knew that what she had been doing to Caylee would be discovered and she would be criminally responsible, so she panicked and decided to lie her way out of it, just like she's done with most everything else, hence the nanny kidnapping story, convenient, since she'd already been lying about even having a nanny. She probably really thought she could pull it off since she was such an accomplished liar. Maybe, if it was an accidental death, she put the duct tape on Caylee just to really make it look like someone had abducted her.

I don't know, no matter how much we discuss it, it's still so hard to believe that anybody could actually find that sweet baby girl to be a burden that needed to be gotten rid of, whether for the night or forever, that partying could be more important than Caylee. I just pray she didn't suffer....rest in peace, sweet Caylee Marie

According to what Cindy said today on the stand:

The 3 of them watched Caylee on a regular basis. She kept her when KC was working George would pitch in if they were not available.

Cindy said that KC went back to work at Universal when Caylee was 3 months old.

Cindy said that Zani was in the picture starting in 2006. She was introduced to KC by Jeff. Cindy never met him or Zani.

I believe KC went back to work after "maternity leave".

As for who watched day to day...I am so confused with her lies, that I am not sure.

I was under the impression that her family mostly watched her. Now there is a lot of buzz that the fake nanny was watching her quite a bit--but there is no nanny and no explanation of how Caylee was cared for when George and Cindy were not watching her.

"zani's" name came up a few times prior....there was an association that this is a nickname for Xanax (sp?).

Zaneida came up "recently" towards the end. *I think* Her lies are beginning to confuse me.

Nothing unusual about the family dynamic since caylee's birth that I recall. But once the family was suspected as covering for Casey--the family shut down and turned against the public and went into protect Casey mode.

You know, Cindy has always seemed like a somewhat overbearing, controlling woman. But if I was the mother of a compulsive, accomplished liar who would not tell the truth if you held her at gunpoint, I would probably be heavy handed too, because experience would have taught me I needed to keep my thumb on Casey 24/7. I do not think Casey lies because Cindy is a hard***. I think it is the other way around.

if casey is convicted and gets the death penilty (do they have that in fl?) can that part be read out before the push the needle in?????

FL does have the death penalty, but the method is the electric chair not the needle, I believe.

ok - maybe it's just me but when i watch a law show or a court case i often look up what they are talking about.

if the cops ere to come and take my computers away they would see all kinds of searches

including cloraform (thanks to this case)
drowning
bomb making (criminal minds)
some taliban names (NCSI)

just to name a few. i would hate to think what someone could put together because of what i search


but then again my daughter is still alive and well (though driving me nuts today) so in context these things never look good
