Something definitely seems 'off' about Casey. Look, forget for a minute about whether she is guilty of murder or not - just go with the assumption that something happened and she is privy to what it was:
She didn't tell anyone for a month. That's pretty bizarre. Whatever happened it would have been in her best interest to start with the 'Caylee has gone missing/been kidnapped' story from the beginning, ASAP. Leaving any amount of time between the event and it being reported just taints her story. It's almost like she was in denial about that fact that something had happened.
She lies. A lot. It's almost like she believes her own lies (taking those guys to Universal Studios under the pretense that she still worked there for example). It's almost like a child playing make-believe to take things so far.
She gets most upset when she is referenced in court. Again, this is very childlike. It would be in her best interest to at least feign some serious emotion when Caylee is mentioned. Yet she doesn't (I know there was something today but it was barely anything). It's like how children get upset about being punished rather than being upset that they may have hurt someone. I wonder if she even grasps the magnitude of the situation. She doesn't seem like an especially stupid person, so she should understand the importance of what's happening and be making an effort to play the loving mother (regardless of what happened if she wants to walk free), yet she isn't.
I'm not saying she's innocent. At the very least I think she is aware of what happened. But I do think her behaviour is more than a little strange. She's behaved in the most unbelievably reckless way and doesn't seem to have made any real effort to display innocence. For a second, stop looking at it as though she's unbelievably stupid and a cold blooded killer and look at her behaviour compared to a child. It's not a million miles away.
