Are George & Cindy going to be called as witnesses? I thought that witnesses couldn't be in the courtroom during the trial? How does that work?

yes, they are testifying.

Caylee did nothing wrong, Casey did. I just can't wrap my mind around them being supportive of a daughter that is a MURDERER, regardless of whether or not Casey is now facing death, she deserves to be in the situation she is in.

I have 3 kids, and I love them with all my heart. I can't imagine ANYTHING changing that. I'm not saying I would do what Cindy and George have done, supporting her and seemingly covering for her, but I just can't imagine what they're going through. I can tell you, I will ALWAYS be there for my children...always. Not lie for them, not cover for them, but love them, yes. No matter what. And I would pray to God they didn't get the death penalty, no matter what. I'd believe they need to face the consequences of their actions, but it would rip my heart out. It's a horrible horrible no win situation.

Their lawyer pleaded their case to Judge Perry that they should be allowed to attend the trial, as family of the victim, and Perry allowed it. If they get emotional, or have an outburst, they'll be barred from being spectators the rest of the trial.

They are victims. I believe their was a hearing for this and it was determined that they have a legal right to be in the trial, but will be removed if they show any sign of anything.

I personally don't know how her parents are functioning they have the apple of their eye killed and now their daughter......

I've been thinking how did the parents think on minimum wage CA was paying a Nanny? Staying in hotels? Shopping? etc.
Did they ever notice that there wasn't a check book around, pay stub, debit/credit card statement, tax info. etc?

Casey can't look at the remains...amazing....she had no trouble when she was dead.
She is crying now...not for Caylee.

I am surprised they are taking a recess in the middle of the states opening statement. I just figured they would break when she was finished.

I agree that it is a no win situation for George and Cindy, it is a terrible situation that thankfully we would never have to deal with.

As for why they never noticed that she didn't get paid or go to work etc, I guess that all goes along with Casey being a pathological liar and was for most of her life. I think a lot of the reason why George and Cindy are supporting her is due to their own guilt about putting up with her BS and not being more on top of the well-being of their grand-daughter.

In session just said that all of the jurors have note pads but are not writing anything they are so focused on the prosecutor.

yes, all that was out in the beginning.....I'd have to go back and look for the specifics though, its been a while!

oh yes...she stole money from quite a few people......even her friends.

Whatever became of Caylee's father? I don't recall ever hearing anything about him.


I think taking a break during Opening Statements takes away from the momentum. Can't say as I agree with the decision to do so.

Casey already had an account. Where most of her party photos were taken from.
