I have to say it, what did Casey do to her eyebrows???? I can't help it but the right one looks like a small caterpillar creeping around above her eye.

:thumbsup2

In this situation--they had every right to demand proof.

Those with responsible adult children making their own way would have no need, nor any right to demand it.

If Casey were to assert her "right" to keep that private, they could have kicked her to the curb. Of course they would never do that since she would have taken Caylee with her.

And unfortunately, it made no difference anyway. Covering for her lies and not demanding accountability led to the biggest and most lethal lie of all.:sad1:
:thumbsup2 Exactly.

My best friend's daughter is living with her, with her 4 year old son. The bio father has very little to do with either one of them. From the beginning, the DD didn't want to do anything "official" to get child support from the father...I think she didn't (doesn't) want to make waves with him. My friend says that the DD is getting money, but she has no idea how much, because her DD is an adult. I disagree; I think my friend has the right to know. If she chooses not to...if it's OK for her NOT to know...that's fine, if that works for her. But I don't think the adult DD, living under their roof with her child, NOT paying rent to them, has a right to financial privacy because she's an adult. Just don't. :confused3

I could believe Casey didn't kill Caylee. But I can't believe any mother would wait a month before reporting her missing. That is unforgivable. That is inexusable and criminal.

My own personal opinion FWIW, is that Casey DID kill Caylee, accidentally. I think she drugged her, to make her go to sleep, so she (Casey) could go out partying. And she gave her an over-dose.

It's a good thing I'm not on the jury, because I have to admit that I already think she is guilty of killing her (accidentally). But to wait 30 days to say that she was missing, is un-freakin-believable. The reason she didn't say anything earlier is because she already KNEW she was in trouble.

Um...thanks for pointing that out. Now I'm going to be zeroing in on them. ;)

They're talking now about computer searches, which were made while George and Cindy were at work...many incriminating "murderous" type of searches...months beforehand. I don't think this was an accident.

By usin' duct tape?

If she had immediately reported it, my opinions would be very very different.

The 31 days and the web of lies (as well as criminal activity) seal the deal and are unavoidable. Defense tried to get that thrown out--but they are very much relevant IF Casey were the guilty party which is what prosecution seeks to prove. Everything she did inhibited the search for her daughter.

Someone who had no hand in killing their child would never do that. It doesn't even pop on the radar of grief to do everything in your power to prevent authorities to find out what happened.

So I do believe she did it. Her actions were indicative of covering a crime, not that of an innocent party.

Exactly. Why would she put duct tape over her mouth/nose AFTER she had accidentally killed her? No accident, as far as I'm concerned.

All these descriptions of Caylee's body, roots intertwined, duct tape around her mouth...all these things...and NOW Casey's not crying?

If this is true, it can still be considered murder in the state of Florida.

I forget the legal requirements for it--but it had been printed at some point during this whole ordeal.

Prosecutors are done with their opening statement. Lunch recess until 1:10. And then the defense...

I am wondering also the bottle of gatorade and the syringe, if casey decided not to use it and then clearly went with using the duct tape. It looks like she may have shaved her eyebrows? This was probably done so you cant really read alot of reactions on her face. I am wondering what the jury is thinking now.

I think that was an afterthought...put on after she was dead to make up some story that someone else ahd killed her.

Her whole family has lied and I really hope they all get in to trouble throughout this process.

I cannot wait to hear the defense 'n thank you 'n everyone for postin' details here. I do have other things to do, but I am gonna be glued to the TV for the defense openin' statements.

As I recall didnt Cindy give police Casey's hairbrush and not the one with Caylees hair? She also washed a pair of pants that were in the car.

Ive always thought one of two things. There are reports that there was a HUGE fight between Casey and Cindy after Cindy learned that Casey had taken money from her grandfather. This happened around June 14. Reports were that it got so bad, that Cindy was basically choking Casey.

I think that Casey, was angry and might have taken it out on Caylee if Caylee got out of line for 1 minute during this time. She killed her accidentally and then hid the body. I believe the duct tape might have been used to seal her mouth because sadly, bodily fluids do come out.

The second is that she had been dosing Caylee for a while to make her sleep so she could party and this last time, it went to far and Caylee overdosed.

I don't think she planned this out or maybe its that as a mother, I can't fathom it and Im just naive. I also believe the cover up is exactly because she did it herself, solo.

I just can't wrap my head around why she thinks taking this to trial is a good idea for her? I can't imagine what can be said to even provide a little bit of a defense? There is just nothing or noone to substantiate any part of her story.

She should have some out and said it was an accident but her life has been so full of abuse and metal torture from her parents that she was terrified and petrified to tell them.. Her partying could have been defended with post traumatic stress or whatever other mental condition. I can't figure this defense out at all......

Oh yeah, I keep forgettin' that Casey believed herself to be a mastermind manipulator.

I can't believe that anyone hearing all the evidence at this point - circumstantital or not - could believe the murder was accidental. Its mind boggling, really.

About the head shaking. InSession commentators are saying Baez should be telling her not to shake her head...makes a terrible impression on the jury (sitting directly across from her...all they have to do to look at her is look straight ahead)...that unless she plans to take the stand (and who knows!) that her head shaking looks like defiance, more likely to be interpreted as guilt than as a desperate person who feels that she's being railroaded.
