If my niece is with me for the afternoon, I'd be considered her care giver. If something happened to her while she was with me then I, as her care giver, would be held responsible.
With that said, it seems like the jury totally did not understand the meaning of care giver. They had to be looking at it in a general sense of who takes care of Caylee every day ... and might've been wondering if it's Cindy & George since they pay for her food/clothing/shelter ... or if it's Casey because she gave birth to Caylee even though she might not always be around. Not thinking "Who was Caylee's care giver THE DAY SHE DISAPPEARED" is unreal.
I am quite convinced that they didn't realize care giver could mean who was in charge of Caylee from the time GA last saw her on.
So ... who was Caylee's care giver the day she "disappeared"? That person was Casey. GA saw Caylee and Casey leave the house at 12:30 the afternoon the day Caylee "disappeared". Nobody ... not one person, not one store surveillence video, not one friend, not even Tony Lazarro said that they saw Caylee that afternoon. That is until the 8 pm Blockbuster video surveillence that showed Casey and Tony together without Caylee. So, if Casey wasn't Caylee's care giver from 12:30 til 8 pm and on, WHO was? So, Caylee "disappeared" (was murdered) under Casey's care. There were no sightings of Caylee after the day that GA last saw her ... so whose care was she under? Casey's. Plain and simple.
Seeing how there was no Zanny the Nanny to drop Caylee off at, nobody else to say they took Caylee that day, Casey was the last care giver that Caylee was with. Casey didn't name anyone else as a potential care giver on that last day she was alive. So, if she was with Casey last, who the heck do they think the care giver was!?
