I like this idea, as well. Before I had kids, I volunteered with Big Brothers/Big Sisters. They don't have a branch where I live now but we do have a crisis center.

The only reason I said start small it will be so emotional, just make sure you can handle it

Oh, please ... people don't want to serve on juries because they don't want to give of their time, don't want the hassle, inconvenience, etc. It has nothing to do with getting "beat up" on message boards since most cases people serve jury duty for aren't publicized like this one.

You don't see or hear of low profile juries getting beaten up on line and in the news. And how many high profile cases, broadcast on national tv who catch loads of attention do you see?

I have seen, many times on this board alone, people grousing about jury duty and asking how to get out of it. "I have classes, I have work, I have this, I have that." it's not because they feel that people are going to beat them up and chastise them. Especially on a case that will not generate any media attention on a national level.

You sound so shocked that this jury is taking a beating. The OJ jury took a beating, too. If the verdict is an unpopular one, a jury is going to take the beating since they're the ones that came up with the verdict.

We know what went on in there, why pretend we didn't? It's not a top secret mission. We know everthing they knew. In a very short time those who claim to have thought guilt were talked out of it.

Again. It is not contradictory to believe that Casey killed her daughter (as I do) but still believe the state did not prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

And in reality we knew much more than they knew. We heard commentary on the news about it. We talked to our friends about it and chatted on the DIS.

Why does it make them idiots because people who initially thought she was guilty changed their minds? Happens all the time. Why does it make such a difference how long that took?

True, but he was invited by Cindy. Maybe he should go after Cindy. Altho, it was based on information by Casey. Who knows. It's frustrating tho to see the lack of responsibility for actions all around this case.Exactly.

Cindy may have invited him but it was based on KC's lies and KC was home when he got there. I'd be interested in seeing if there was a contract signed and by who.

On InSession, they were saying that Casey will get back all of her and Caylee's personal effects, including THE CAR. How special is that. Maybe she can sell it on Ebay..."free box of Febreeze sheets included."

6 days in jail agh. All we can do is hope and pray that with her second chance she was giving she will do right by Caylee and straighten herself out. I doubt she will but I pray she will. I hope she realizes she was give a huge second chance most people don't get.

It makes no sense. The time she's served was for different crimes. These are new crimes, so it should be a new sentence. Why such leniency?

Those who say that the American system is the best one are only partially right. It's the best one if you are the criminal.

So sad about only 6 more days. It makes me sick to see that the jurors didn't take the time to ask the questions if they didn't understand. With all the evidence and the tapes they could have reviewed, to me it shows they rushed to judgement. I think if the death penalty had not been involved, Casey would be serving LWOP.

How much you wanna bet she's already out and has been whisked away somewhere? I wonder if this might be to throw off the media? Although, I can see Casey wanting the media attention/focus on her walking through the front door a free woman.

lets break it down.

kill your child
ditch her body
go out and party for over a month
lie to everyone about said child being alive and having such a wonderful time
lie to police about where you work, a fake nanny, receiving a phone call the day before from said child
spend 3 years trying to figure out an excuse for what happened and come up with it ONLY when someone 2 cells down talks about her son drowning in the pool and the grandfather finding him
waste time and money on a trial

and get out in 6 days.


and good behaviour and "gain time" is a good thing????? yaaaaaaaa ok


now..... how is that not a fair sentense

Thats too bad February sounded better. Guess she better get used to living in a bubble cause I cant imagine she will be able to walk out in public without being harassed.
