Casey Anthony NOT GUILTY & Sentencing Thread 6

I don't want to get into all these debates especially since I still can't get anyone to answer how the prosecution could have done any better with what they had and how, as a society, will we be able to convict obviously guilty people without this new CSI moment. What could have been done to convict Casey?

Im off to bed everyone.. I will go to sleep and say a prayer for Caylee. Have a good one folks!

Honestly, common sense is lost these days. People can't/don't think, critical thinking skills are lost. This verdict is proof positive of what is happening in this country--the dumbing down of society. The natural love between a mother and child--none here--she murdered her child, Caylee cramped her style. I am beyond disgusted with it all.

We have an apparent under-bridge-dweller. Let us not encourage it. I'm sorry I responded to it at all. :)

Can we move on? Do we think that Casey will return to the bosom of her family after the statement? I think not. I understand that the family accepts the verdict. I hope the family rejects her lying murdering little butt and does achieve some kind of closure, as messed up as they are. I hope George has a good therapist and does not commit suicide after his name has been blackened for ever. I very much hope that Lee Anthony runs far, far, away from the whole family because I actually believe that he is the only one of them with an iota of sense and the vague possibility of a healthy life in the future.

The statement abbreviated and cut and pasted (bolding by me):

"While the family may never know what has happened to Caylee Marie
Anthony, they now have closure for this chapter of their life. They will now
begin the long process of rebuilding their lives. Despite the baseless defense
chosen by Casey Anthony,
the family believes that the jury made a fair
decision based on the evidence presented; the testimony presened; the
scientific information presented; the rules that were given to them by the
Honorable Judge Perry to guide them. The family hopes that they will be given
the time by the media to reflect on today's verdict and decide the best way to move forward privately. "

To the first bolded part, it took me a while to figure it out, but yeah it's never a good idea to feed them.

Back on topic, I absolutely believe Casey will be let back into that house, if Cindy has anything to say about it. She rules that roost and George will either have to deal with it or move out.

I believe it. He was very unhappy with the media.

Which is a joke because before he joined the defense, he was one of those lawyers proclaiming Casey guilty on tv that he hates oh so much.

Once again, reasonable doubt is NOT beyond all doubt nor does it require absolute proof.

While I will agree there is plenty of emotion involved in this case, that does not negate the fact that many minds (legal or otherwise) found the evidence put forth by the prosecution did in fact prove that Casey Anthony was the only person that could have been responsible.

The only people that matter are the 12 jurors, not legal experts or TV personalities.....fact remains she was found not guilty by a jury due to the fact there was no evidence proving she did it.

So? What difference does that make? Only posters from threads 1-5 welcome on thread 6?
Good god - defensive much!? Get a grip! Where did I say that people weren't welcome on this post? You are totally reading into things. :sad2:

My point was that such outspoken people. who popped up now, would've had a lot to contribute to the other threads and it's too bad that they didn't. It's just interesting that they chose not to when we would've loved more opinions, especially from those who were so pro-defense team. I wish you all would've contributed as it would've been nice to have the input.

How this blatant dishonesty passes is beyond me. Either you agree with the verdict and they know full well what happened. Or you disagree with the verdict and only their darling daughter holds the answer, are they just letting us know the most documented liar in trial history will simply carry on as usual and they will enable for eternity?

Listening to In The Arms Of an Angel - Sarah McLaughlin, and can't seem to stop crying for this poor baby and all the others like her. This world is so far from fair:sad2:

If she were truly not guilty where is the outrage that her babies murderer is still out there free, the hate, the sadness, the horror they don't know what happened to her, that she doesn't know? Nothing to smile about if she were a mother in mourning... nothing. Her baby was murdered in cold blood

Unfortunately, I agree with you 110%. This is why I say that I am worried about George. He needs to run, and run fast. He had no backbone throughout this girls young life. I believe that CA ruled the roost, and still does. She has allowed horrible behavior, and didn't condone her son and husband being villified throught this trial...very sad.

Does anyone else feel like the prosecution did a very good job of presenting the evidence they had, but where they failed was NOT responding and to the defense's theory thrown out in opening statements and making more of an effort to disprove the accident/drowning theory?

They asked George on the witness stand if he sexually abused Casey, and if Caylee drowned in the pool...but other than that...what effort did they put out there to show this didn't happen.

It makes me sick that our legal system is so slanted to the defense side that those attorneys are allowed to make stories up and present them in their opening arguments, despite not having ANY evidence to back it up.

Sadly, he planted the seed and it worked in this case, the jury bought the drowning story hook line & sinker. Jose Baez succeeded in getting a child killer acquitted. I hope he's proud.

I find it very interesting how many people come out of the woodworks on this thread but have not chimed in at all during threads 1-5 ...

Nothing to say throughout the whole trial until it's over with ... interesting, indeed.

:thumbsup2 Exactly. "No offense" but go away (and I mean that in the nicest way possible) :rotfl2: Seriously, though, you don't post on 1250 pages and now when we are trying to work through our thoughts and heartache, you feel it is appropriate to come over here and argue. Start your own thread called, "I am so thrilled a child murderer was able to get off today" and go to town.

Everyone is welcome to contribute. The key word is "contribute" not "make fun of everyone."

That is NOT true.

Anyone on threads 1-5 that said anything other than "kill the *****" was sent away bloody. Trust me on that.

While I'm at it, IMO Ashton is the reason she walked. I would have given him the "flying Mathew" long before that guy did.

And again dnoyes, you were asked more than once on the other threads to "contribute" and you refused to answer any questions.

It is indeed interesting that people feel safe to express their opinion with the safety of the jury's verdict behind them like a 500 pound gorilla. It doesn't change the fact that a lot of us who followed the trial and actually did contribute on the other threads disagree with that verdict.

The didn't need to ask George those question he wasn't the one on trial

Give me a break. I was around for threads 2-5 and nobody was sent away bloody. Trust me on that. Nobody chased you away, did they?

HLN is showing at the bottom of their screen that the alternate juror couldnt believe that Caylee was in the trunk of the car.... then how in the *** did they think she got in the woods??? Did ICA drag that bag 1/4 mile to the woods.

Side note: FB is having a porch lighting in honor of Caylee for anyone interested.

I had to go away for a little bit. This is all too much. I keep asking myself "Where did it go wrong?" and it always comes back to the jury.

Sure there were a couple of missteps by the prosecution but nothing that should have warranted this decision.

The alternate juror bought JB hook, line and sinker which absolutely blows my mind. With all the lies he told in that court room he ties with KC for being the most documented liar.

I honestly don't think they did the job they were supposed to be doing. Hardly any of them took notes and we know that by the tweets we got from the media in the court room. We had one juror playing with her pen when evidence would be presented. We had another juror wink at JB per a tweet from the court room.

Then you have ppl on the jury who I don't believe should've been there. Especially those who had records because they had been a defendant in a court case and their view is going to be seriously biased towards the prosecution.

Also the jurors who had vacations starting on July 7---boy did coming down with the verdict today help them out. A not guilty gets them out in time to go on vacation whereas had they come back with a guilty they'd have to be sequestered for another two weeks.

There was so much wrong with the jury on this case it isn't funny. Add to that the alternate today talking as if he had been talking to the other jurors prior to yesterday about the case.

But I was on a cruise for the last 7 days, doesn't that count for something?:worship:

You keep saying that and only on the surface does it works. Yes they were the jury and she walks. But that does not take from the rest of society the facts and the truth as it was presented.

You defend them before knowing why they made their decision. You give them the benefit of the doubt, most of us don't. Do you think she is not guilty?

hi, know I new to this thread, I have been reading lately, been watching trail on TV..sick to my stomach about this. BUT just thought of something awful!

I was thinking how the heck will she live, not like i care, but then it dawned on me, how much do you want to make a bet that she will end up with a movie and book deals and making money off the death of sweet little CayLee!

This has to be stopped!! can you imagine?? oh the horror!!!:sad2:
