So you agree George is likely the killer? That the whole family covered up what happened to Caylee? That when ICA came home and found Caylee missing she should have reported it? That only one banded hair from a dead Caylee was not proof enough? That the garbage in the trunk fooled everyone? That the State must prove both motive and manner of death? That murder 1 was the only choice and was too harsh? That the question of who was Caylees caregiver was an issue? Or that OS is evidence?

Im sorry, we've had 6 threads here and they are still opened becuase they have been very civil. We've had lively debates, but nobody has been burned at the stake, literally or figuratively. Your characterization is way off base..

In fact, there has been a lot more bashing of people who are following this case, but discussion is for another day, another time and another place.

2) On the left hand side under "Settings & Options" Click "Edit Ignore List"
3)Type in the name of the offense poster and click "okay"

I also sometimes opt for the "report" button when someone is clearly being rude and trying to start arguments between posters.

Things have been very civil on this and the previous threads, some people just have to try to stir up trouble .

Well, breaking news... Apparently Casey Anthony is appealing her 4 guilty verdicts for lying..... I guess this is how she will protect herself from having to take part in the depo and plead the 5th.. She and her lawyers helped delay her original trial and now they will delay this case. Enough for her to run out of town. Lovely.

I don't cuss, but this is pretty close to being enough for me to start!

How on this earth can this be??? It goes against the entire basis of her case. How could anybody file an appeal of her lies to LE??? Talk about brazen. I understand that this is a delaying tactic, but this is just going to make people that much madder. They're crazy is all I can say.

Talk about spitting in peoples faces...

I'm confused. Isn't appearing for a deposition like being subpoenaed for court? I mean doesn't Casey still have to report to a deposition if a judge orders her to, even if she leaves town? Then she just has to come right back into town for the deposition. I don't get what they are trying to accomplish here by delaying the ZG lawsuit going forward. I mean ZG has waited 3 years, it's not like she won't wait a little longer, right?

Weellll, this IS a defense team who hired a mitigation specialist who left her husband and kids to marry a convicted serial killer in jail.

This is out of line IMO. Who can ever explain why someone falls in love in another person? Do I think that I would ever do this- fall in love with anyone else besides my huusband-no, however, no one here knows exactly what they would do in any situation. We might think we know but in reality, we don't.

I hope that people who feel this way can get beyond that type of thinking because, in the end, having these feelings about someone only hurts the people who have the negative thoughts.

You can bet that it's Casey's attorney(s) who are telling her what to say or are the people speaking for her. I don't understand the reasoning behind it but they are figuring an angle for her defense.

HLN reporting that CM aka (Foghorn Leghorn) said he is receiving dozens of checks for thousands of dollars to help Casey get back on her feet. Really? Once again I am sure we are living in a alternate universe. Can there be that many baby killers out there supporting one of their own?

Yep me thinks he should've kept his mouth shut. Someone needs to send the judge a copy of that video so she can make the appropriate determination.

And if they insist that there's no money.. couldn't that open an investigation into her/their finances and we could see exactly where the $275,000 went as well as if they've received an other money on her behalf?

No, I can pretty much be certain that I won't be perusing jails looking for love. I can almost be pretty certain that if DH wasn't around, Id be very careful who I brought around my kids. And I can also be pretty certain that I would not choose a felon over my kids. But that's just me.

So apparently you can come out and admit in open court that you lied, you can then be convicted based on your assertions and confessions and THEN, you can appeal said convictions of self-admitted crimes.. This case truly boggles the mind! But I guess if you can get away with killing you child, appealing the lying conviction doesn't seem like such a big deal....

Here is my (non-legal) take...

1) Her attorney already outed her, with her blessing, during her murder trial. He used it over and over again. And even if there is merit to her abuse claims, the only appeal I see is using that as a defense...it isn't a defense.

2) Her sentence is over on Sunday. What is the purpose of the appeal?

3) Her life is not on the line and her sentence is over. If she wants to appeal, figure out a way to pay for it. It is a waste of money and the courts time to something her murder-trial attorney already ADMITTED and ACKNOWLEDGED she did..lie!

4) She will make money--she knows it. If they have a US Court of Appeals VISA, let her apply for that, so that she pays back her costs. She has a healthy balance in her jail account. Her first payment is ready.


She will not be indigent and this appeal serves no purpose. Pleading the fifth with evidence on tape will do her no good.

And it isn't something she will get a sequestered jury from another county to aid her. If THAT jury found her guilty, other juries will.

And her attempted arrest, had nothing to do with those lies and was on another charge that Cindy wanted to press and the arrest was cancelled. So Miranda violation, my foot.
