Im not sure. Just picking things up from twitter. Her attorney says she is unstable. He claimed she is receiving threats. Amazing if we have to pay to protect her!

Her attorney wants ground rules set before depo. Judge set Sept 14 for a case management hearing, I guess, to discuss all of this.

Me too. Especially if I already have a good guy at home.

(By good of course I'm assuming NOT a convicted rapist/murderer).

Unstable? Didn't that HLN Psychiatrist say she was just immature?

We are really getting a good lesson in how far the legal system will go to protect the rights of the accused (and the convicted ).

Judge ruled.... Protective order issued for Casey, No Depo on Tuesday. Casey wins again.

Deposition for Oct 8.. She will be long gone by then

You'd think. My point was that I doubt this woman ever thought she would fall in love with a killer. I'm sure it wasn't a a part of either her life or career plan. Also, it was don't judge because you never know what life has in store for you down the road. There can be surprises.

I'll judge, thank you very much. Perhaps you are not certain of what life holds for you, but I know myself well enough to swear on a stack of Bibles....and unlike Casey Anthony, I'd actually mean what I say......that married or not, I would never, ever, ever fall in love with/marry/or even want to have any physical contact with a serial rapist/killer. I know myself that well. And since I was a lawyer, I was even around some of these skeezy folks a fair amount of the time. Nope......never tempted once. Rather be a nun on an island.

I have no idea what this order is supposed to protect CA from..

But at this point, as I was reminded by HLN, does it really matter? Casey will set up an LLC. Any money paid to her for an interview, book, etc will be paid to the corporation. She will take a salary from it and protect herself from any civil suits.

I wonder who is paying for her civil attorney...

I just read on WFTV that Casey was "too exhausted" to handle a desposition right now. Are you serious??!!!!

Exhausted from her feast of nacho cheese and chips, skittles, and slim jims.
Someone should just drag her sorry butt out of jail. How can you use the "I'm too exhausted" excuse when it comes to the law? Do you think I could get away with "Oh, judge, I didn't report for jury duty because I was just too exhausted"? I mean, if Casey can use it as an excuse, why not everyone else? That judge should've marched his/her butt down to ICA's cell and said "Move it sister and stop your nonsense. It's gone on long enough already!"

Can't they tell her "either you give the depo or you stay in jail until you do!"?

How many married people do you know of or have heard of that fall in love with someone they meet at or through work?

Lots -- however not one of them hooked up with a rapist and killer. Go figure.

And kind of skanky of her to leave her spouse and kids for that winner ...

In fact, there has been a lot more bashing of people who are following this case, but discussion is for another day, another time and another place.


Anyway, another update:

ITA. AND there is always an alternative for those who disagree and are unhappy. Wait I stand corrected there are two alternatives. 1. Don't read or participate in the thread or 2. Start a new thread and title it Supporters of Casey Anthony." I will agree that no one has been uncivil or flamed those in disagreement.

No, I can pretty much be certain that I won't be perusing jails looking for love. I can almost be pretty certain that if DH wasn't around, Id be very careful who I brought around my kids. And I can also be pretty certain that I would not choose a felon over my kids. But that's just me.

ME TOO! I was under the impression she left her KIDS and HUSBAND. HMMM so if that is true she sees Casey in some respects as a kindred spirit. While she did not KILL her kids I would venture to guess, having known someone who did this to their children and witnessed the never ending aftermath, it probably hurts MORE than being Chloroformed and smothered when you are asleep.

I worked for a company where it was forbidden to date coworkers! You'd think someone with a law degree would hold herself to a higher standard. Then again.....
