Call me jaded, I believe Jerry Springer Inc. and Vivid Video are only putting out "stories" of offers then retracting them for double the publicity. Vivid could not have paid for the amount of press they got and I do not think they are a company with any ethical standards.

Baez's office stated that they received the offers from Vivid Entertainment and from someone who is somehow tied to getting people to appear on the Springer show (not directly from Springer, but someone who lines guests up on a freelace type basis).

personally i don't believe much of what he has to say. he didn't just defend his client he told lies there was zero proof of - how is that any different then casey?

Seahunt -- WOW WOW WOW, that's all I can say to the transcript you provided between Dr. Drew & Tracy McLaughlin ... thank you for posting it ... I wonder what else Tracy M. had to say when she said "there's more"? ... I wonder why they didn't call her to testify - I guess maybe because her testimony would have been considered hearsay? ... but then again they allowed River Cruise to tesitfy as to what George "said' to her ... so why couldn't Tracy testify as to what the Anthony's "said" to her or in front of her? ... I just don't get it ...

She allegedly killed her own daughter and OJ allegedly killed his own wife, so why would anyone have to hide their child from Casey or their wife from OJ. Doesn't make much sense.

I still think they put the offers out and then retracted them as a PR stunt, they knew Casey or rather her handlers would be alot more selective than that, in the first few months at least
Springer and Vivid to me are the bottom of the barrel, she can only tell her story to the press for the first time once, and I do not think Jerry Springer would be the person to tell. Maybe Vivid down the road if nothing else pans out. They knew there was not a snowballs chance in hell she would accept the offers, not off the bat.

I have noticed the spin is changing and there appears to be slightly less negative coverage .

Well, first of all it's a play on a news interview from awhile back when a guy advised people to "hide yo' wife, hide yo' kids" from a rapist in his project. (google: Antoine Dodson)

But, to answer your question...is it supposed to make us feel better that they did this to their "own"? They are murderers - regardless of WHO they murdered, they are capable of taking someone's life, so yes, I'd keep my kids, wife, husband, dog away from them!

Poor Zenaida Gonzales has on Telemundo the other day, she said that Casey destroyed her life with her lies, that she was kicked out of her apartment, her kids were single out at school, she lost her job, her car was vandalized because people thought she had taken Caylee, the Feds ransack her house, she said the her life changed completely because of KC lies and that she was so angry and sick when she was found not guilty. Poor lady, I felt bad for her.

I don't get the whole hearsay issue either. An atty. on WS explained that Krystal River Holloway Cruz's testimony was allowed because GA could go on the stand and refute it; whereas Tracy's "hearsay" attributed to KC was not allowed because KC didn't take the stand to refute it.

But still...why couldn't Tracy testify as to GA/CA's remarks/actions? Same with Tim Miller (EquuSearch), Amy H., Jesse G., Tony L. Each of them made reference in their depositions that CINDY told them disparaging things (sociopath) about KC. Maybe I'm stupid, but I don't see the difference & welcome any reasonable explanation.

I saw Dr. Drew as well as read the lyrics to The Past. I don't know why they did not call Tracy. I agree how come Crystal Holloway (aka River Cruz) was allowed to testify and Tracy was not called. If you ask me, the song is chilling and while it is circumstantial it was first person interactions between TM and ICA(yeah I know she is not an INMATE anymore but it is wishful thinking). Even the whole heart sticker on the knee thing.

Tracy will offend again it is just a matter of time but will she be caught? Do you all think she now has a heightened sense of indistructabilty like so many psycho killers?

The defense team is going to get her counseling and keep her safe. How nice. Don't they know a sociopath cannot be rehabilitated?
