Casey Anthony Civil Trials Discussion

I was watching The Office last night and in the trunk of the car of one of the characters (Merideth), a Justice for Caylee sign was there.

I think it was the writers/producers/whoever's little cry for Justice for Caylee! :goodvibes

You know, I thought I saw that the other night. Thanks for confirming that it wasn't just my imagination.

Today is the 3rd anniversary of the discovery of little Caylee's body.

Always thinking of you Caylee.

Casey's probably thinking that today's just the anniversary of the day she ALMOST got in really big trouble.

Barbara Walters was on Letterman tonight.

Here are the few things that stood out to me:

1. While discussing Amanda Knox (who is one of the ten people) she said she would never put anyone on the list "who has committed a crime or done bad things." Hmmmm.........I guess that could be interpreted two ways. Casey WAS convicted of two different crimes (lying and stealing) and we all know she "did bad things" but will Babs fall back on the fact that she wasn't convicted of committing THAT crime?

2. Also, while discussing Amanda Knox, she said there were eight people that she interviewed and two others that were just profiled. Amanda was one of those that was profiled. Does she ever just profile the #1 person? I'm thinking if she didn't interview Casey but profiled her, that would be her excuse. "What?? I didn't actually interview her so it is all good."

3. Unless it was part of the bit, Dave guessed who the #1 person was. He wrote it on a piece of paper and Babs eyes lit up and she told him to destroy the piece of paper. As much as I hate Casey, that case captivated the nation this year. I'll be shocked if it isn't her.

Would these people get paid for being on this show?

Looking online, it seems as if many think it will be Gabby Giffords, an excellent choice in my opinion, or Charlie Sheen, not great but I'll take him over Casey any day.

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. You obviously need a remedial class on how to pay attention! ;)
I got 100% in 1:40.....

I got 100% in 5:20. Okay I didnt know I was being timed. I read slower than I used to. why the need to time? How is everyone? Its been a while.

Very interesting. I'll have to see if I can find it online. The thing about not putting someone on the list who had been convicted of a crime or done bad things...why is that important for this list, when she's done that many times in the past (interview bad people...not necessarily for this list, I guess)? The list is the most fascinating people (per her; not so much me)...not "people of the year" or something like that indicates they're GOOD people. Hasn't she interviewed not so good people before for the list? On the view right now, she's saying they "broke the rules for the first time" by choosing this person. hhmmm...

Didn't Barbara just do a big interview with Gabby Giffords? And Charlie Sheen is SSOOO yesterday...isn't he? But then, I think 1/2 the list is anyway.

I'm good! A grandma! Have I mentioned that a million times already? Unfortunately, I can't edit it into the first post. :lmao: Hope all is well with you, and all the others I've gotten to know on these CA threads.

Yes, she specifically mentioned Bernie Madoff and that while she interviewed him in the past, he wouldn't make the list because of the whole "he did bad things" perspective.

Here's the part of the interview Barbara did with David Letterman about the people on the list. Does it look like he wrote Casey Anthony? :lmao: I guess you can imagine anything!

I swear I rewound 10 times looking at Dave's hand and that is why I freaked and posted on here. I swear he wrote Casey. But then I went searching and convinced myself it was Charlie instead. :lmao: I agree, though. All these people are so old news now and most weren't important even in the best of times.

Not sure I made myself clear that I definitely thought he wrote Casey Anthony too! I just watched again...I'd guess Casey over Charlie. But, even if he did, Barbara could have been playing along with him. Well, we'll see tonight.

Just a warning that I will probably post who THE most fascinating person of the year is when it's on (I'm EST) tonight. And if it's Casey Anthony, I'll see you all back here for the "boycott Barbara Walters" party. :lmao:

Standing by..... :surfweb:

Everytime I see this thread pop up to the top, I open it in the evil hopes that I will read someone post that Casey got some kind of comeuppance. So disappointed LOL...but **sigh** we are now on watch for her possibly being wawa's most fascinating? Yikes!

You watch Maryann, I can't do it....spoil away!

Standing by..... :surfweb:

LOL This is like a NASA expedition...everyone in place?

I can't help thinking that it's some benign person, and she's stretching the idea of "breaking her rules" for choosing this person to make it sound more fascinating than it is.

Let's brainstorm. (Anyone here? lol)

Herself. :lmao:
Another news person. :confused3 Would that be breaking a rule? Katie Couric? Meredith Viera? Nance Grace (from the Nancy Grace Entertainment Show, as Bozo would say)? Anderson Cooper? Sherri/Whoopi/Joy/Elizabeth? If she can do the Kardashians as a group, how "fascinating" it would be (and rule-breaking) to do her own co-hosts?!
Chaz Bono. (What rule?)
JR Martinez...again, what rule would be broken?
Oprah? (Rule?)
Rosie O'Donnell? The rule about steering clear of her? lol But what an awesome *cough* *cough* Kumbaya moment they can have!
George and Cindy Anthony!
Roy Kronk? :confused3:confused3:confused3 (Telling LisaR's story...lol)
I'm really at a loss trying to come up with fascinating people. :confused3 Especially since the ones who didn't make "most" fascinating aren't very fascinating to me.

Oh well...going to clean out my fridge while the first 9 drag on. Will post if anything interesting happens, or to announce The Big One.

The idiot juror who doesn't know how to keep her mouth shut? :confused3

Hey -- I know!!! Judge Belvin Perry!!!!!!! Oh please, oh please, oh please let it be him so we can hear his thoughts on all of this!!!!

Me, too!!!
It's gotta happen ONE OF THESE DAYS!!! Meanwhile, just me, usually.

Now THAT would be awesome!!!

Yuri! Oh wait, this wasn't "hottest" it was most fascinating. I found Dr. Voss fascinating!

Dr Voss was definitely fascinating. And Yuri was definitely hot. Love 'em both!
Oh I hate anticipation. I will have to wait for someone to post.UGH!
I don't know how you Californians live way over there, 3 hours behind us. lol

Oh yeah...who mentioned the dumb juror? (Can't look back at posts on my laptop.) Jennifer Ford? Yes, I DO think she's fascinating...it's fascinating to see that our jury system is at the mercy of ditzes whose only qualification is having a driver's license.
