Carthay Circle or Blue Bayou?

Carthay Circle every time!! And I actually like the atmosphere of Carthay Circle over Blue Bayou in addition to the far superior quality of food. Carthay Circle has a lot of fun movie memorabilia in the lobby and has the nostalgia factor of being named in honor of the theater that premiered Snow White. Just my two cents!

This is a hard decision for me--I echo most other posters--food at CC is excellent, and there are cocktails--
BB is EATING IN POTC at Disneyland!! Two really different experiences, but I really love them both.
A third option (because I'm SURE that's what you need..) have you been to Steakhouse 55? If you are carnivorous, it's AMAZING. We got engaged there in 2015, so I'm biased for sure, but the service was EXCELLENT, food was too. Had a Great bottle of Cab from John Lasseter's vineyard.
Let us know what you pick!

While I understand the eating in POTC, I can't get past the food quality. I am another that prefers Cafe Orleans over BB.

That said, I agree with you about Steakhouse 55. It is my favorite restaurant at Disneyland Resort.

I didn't consider Steakhouse 55 and we are both steak lovers. I'll do some research on it!

Well that's a tough one because it's dinner. Napa Rose is a definite -- but between the other two, it's hard to say for dinner. I like to have a cocktail with dinner so CC is nice, and the food is definitely better than the ambience at BB. CC is nice, but in the end the food is not as good as the food at NR, and I really didn't like spending as much as I spent there with so many tired, misbehaving kids running around like any other DL restaurant. It really didn't make for a very romantic evening when we did our anniversary there. You get less of that at BB, maybe because watching POTC keeps them occupied. And we had no issues at all with that at NR, because we did Chef's Table.

Have you considered doing BB for lunch instead? Since you can't have a cocktail or wine there, anyway, lunch is always our choice and it's great for getting out of the heat. It's dark inside so you can't tell it's not dinner! And it's cheaper during lunch.

No we hadn't considered lunch at all. But that's not a bad idea...and now that we're also considering Steakhouse 55...maybe we'll add another day to the trip!

For me, BB was a one-and-done but I go back to CC most visits. BB was worth it to do the Fantasmic Package though - I still use the foam seat I got there. But for a meal I'll love and a nice drink, CC wins every time. Lunch at BB might be worthwhile though!

Now that's a plan!

We do BB every trip but it's for the ambiance, not so much the food. The food is ok but not memorable. Lunch is still pricey but not as bad as dinner. And lunch is the only time you can get the Monte Cristo, if you like those.

I've done BB a couple times, and I generally agree with the comments about ambience. But last time I was there at a waterside table, with the ambience shattered by teenagers in boats yelling "THROW ME A ROLL!" every 5-10 minutes

I eat at CC every visit, never disappointed, and always arrive 30 or so minutes early so I can enjoy a beverage in the lounge.
