Carthay Circle Menus Here

Does anyone know if they have a kids menu? We are going in June and my 11 year old will not eat any of this. My older daughter will but my younger one is a chicken nuggets kid

Found this on another website, disneyfoodblog.com (May 10):
"Kids’ Menu
The 256-seat restaurant (200 inside, 56 on a terrace) will also serve a fun kids’ menu! Kids can choose from interesting options like sloppy joes with house-made slaw, pasta and mini crispy tacos, or a beef filet or fish for dinner."

Don't know quite where they get their info so not sure how reliable this is.

In any case, I'm thinking that while they may let your 11 year old order off the kid menu, you're going to be stuck with the double portion/double price policy I've heard about to bring it up to closer to adult pricing since your 11 year old is not a a child by Disney standards. Just pointing this out although it sounds to me like you are asking about food choices not pricing.

I'm hoping those biscuits are as wonderful as they sound!!!!

I was eyeing those biscuits too!!! Just bring me an order of those, please!

Thank you for posting the menus!! Everything looks so yummy!! The "new take on liver and onions" is on my must-eat list! *nom nom*

Right?? We may simply share a meal and add these biscuits and an appetizer. :) LOL

I wasn't asked inside or out either. :confused3 Maybe I should call back and ask for inside? I don't really want to eat outside.

Well, personally, I don't care either way so I will just see what we get when we get there. :)

Yeah I was curious if they even had a kids menu but I think it is really lame to charge you in a regular restaurant for kids. My daughter is really small and is NOT a big eater. I think it is ridiculous to force kids to eat adult items regardless of age. I KNOW they do it at character or special meals but I always thought if you were at a restaurant where you ordered off the menu that they didn't necessarily restrict the ages for eating off the kids menu.

I can tell you she still ALWAYS eats of the kids menu wherever we go at home. Like I said she is tiny and doesn't like the adult food and doesn't eat a lot.

Now my 12 year old who is only a year older is 5'4" and eats a LOT so I have no problem with her eating off the adult menu.

Guess we will have to wait and see what they do when we go. ;)

Trying to decide between here and the Wine Country Trattoria. From the description that I read on the Disney Parks Blog, the CCT gets you "center stage viewing" for WOC. Does that mean there will be a seperate area for CCT diners vs. WCT? Or will everyone still be in the reserved dining area? I'm a little confused, LOL. And another DL newbie question: we can make reservations at 60 days out, is that 60 days from the date you want to dine there, or 60 days from check in date?

I am flabbergasted that there is anyone in the world who would pay $22 for a burger. A burger!! It would have to give me superpowers to be worth it for $22, LOL.

The superpower of reserved standing for WOC? ;)

I follow the general rule that if I can easily make a given dish at home, I will not order it at a restaurant.

I'm thinking they offer the burger for $22 because they do not want you to buy one. They don't want people to go there for the burger. It is simply there for that person who goes with the group and doesn't see anything else they want. That's what I think anyway. :confused3

I assume all preferred dining for WOC is in the same section as always. And it is 2 months out from the date you want to eat there. I called on May 24th to make reservations for July 24th.

Well thats weird! Theres plenty of high end restaurants that dont offer hamburgers at the resort like WCT and BB for example and its never been an issue before!

Its pretty funny, I think I was the first one here to be shocked over that $22 price and now it seems like EVERYONE is and for good reason. Its utterly ridiculous! It doesnt have to be $10, but it should be under $20. Whats odder is their other sandwhiches are under $20, so not sure why it couldnt be the same for a hamburger? I will wait until reviews to hear if its worth the price or not.

As for WOC, agreed, I'm sure it will be the exact same place it was as before where WCT is now and Ariels before! Disney is VERY good at using a lot of PR and marketing speak and they try very hard to sound accurate and ambigurous at the same time lol. Its a gift really, but it seems to confuse people with their wording.

I am not rich by any means, however I love great food and I'm not at all shocked by a $22 burger for four reasons:

A) Disneyland has a higher markup than most other places in the world, excepting maybe NYC and London.

B) It does say 8oz. Angus. So it's not like it's just regular old ground beef.

C) The town I live in had a $100 burger (the restaurant is now gone ::insert evil laugh here::)

D) Plus there is a huge movement in the higher end restaurants to upgrade traditional comfort food classics.

Burger or not I love that era and the menu looks good to me. I'm excited. The WOC thing is just whipped cream on the strawberry to me ;)

Just want to point out that the burger is cheaper than the Monte Cristo-$25 grilled cheese-and my guess (or maybe just my fervent hope) is that this food has gotta be better than Blue Bayou-people seem to continually be willing to pay those prices.

That is my question too...the phrasing is different so am wondering if CCT gets a different viewing area.

Yes, but Hungry Bear in DL also has a an Angus burger and it is pretty good!
Here is the quote from the All Ears menu:

Pioneer Chili Cheeseburger - Angus 1/3 lb. Chuck Burger with home-style chili, cheese and a hand-battered onion ring. $10.19

Classic Cheeseburger - Angus 1/3 lb. Chuck Burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato and our signature sauce. $9.49

So, maybe the cheese used at CCT is a step above, but just reading it, it sounds like the same thing to me.

And here are the burgers from Jazz Kitchen:

Jazz Kitchen Cheeseburger - Ground filet mignon, jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, Cajun fries. $15

Ragin' Cajun Bacon Burger - Ground filet mignon, pepper jack cheese, roasted Serrano chili, applewood smoked bacon, baby arugula, tomatoes, chipotle-pesto dressing. $16

I've never had it, but thought it sounded good. It is made with filet mignon.

So then CCT offers Kobe beef sliders which is what I think I may get, but even though it is offered under "sandwhiches" it doesn't seem to come with any fries or anything at all. I wonder if you can ask for fries or potatos with items other than the $22 burger. Maybe we have this wrong. The burger is $10 and the its the fries that are expensive at $12! :rotfl:

Bahahaha!

Ok, fair enough, there are other burgers out there that might be better for less. I still think there is no way of telling for sure unless someone has actually tried it.

I love Kobe so I'll probably want those sliders except now I am so curious about the $22 one to either confirm or deny it's deliciousness. Maybe THAT was their strategy. ;)

"$22 burger?!!??&$@!!!, well now I have to try it"

Okay, now I really need a burger, and it's 6:45 in the morning.:goodvibes

So, THAT'S why everything at Disney is so expensive. So that we believe the quality is high.

Seriously, I can picture a burger being worth $22...but it better be pretty damn good and have at least 4 slices of bacon.

And it better thick sliced applewood smoked bacon! With fresh cheddar or monterey jack (or both) cheese.....and the little yummy pickles too! :) I just have this feeling that DD will want that, because she's a major meat eater and she loves burgers.....lol

I think this is a job for our Disneyland Podcast team!!! This is type of investigating journalism we expect. :goodvibes
