I have been fighting with my carry-ons for some time now. I just can't figure out what works best, and I keep buying things that aren't right.

I think I have narrowed down my new attempt to these two:

I can't figure out how to post this one's picture

I think a small duffel is what I'm looking for. We travel A LOT, and this particular carry-on will mostly be for longer trips where we check bags. Neither is large enough for a long weekend. So, it needs to hold a rather large toiletry bag, books/magazines, snacks...that sort of thing. I could also carry a small/medium purse to hold the MP3 player, while the carry on goes overhead. We'll be travelling to Ireland April 8th, so I'd like to decide soon:)

I'm also open to other suggestions. Do you have one you love? What about one for a 3-4 day trip?

I have a pretty big backpack that I LOVE for my carry-on bag. I always check bags as well, but can fit a set of clothing, books, meds, my small jewelry travel case, etc into it.

It has outside pockets that I can put a bottle of water into as well as my boarding passes.

I found this works best for those long trecks across the airport to catch a connecting flight. I bought it when we lived in SD and had to take a small plane into Minneapolis to connect to anywhere. Lots of times it was a 35 minute layover to get to the other side of the airport. Worked well for throwing it on my back and taking off.

I find that the single straps hurt my neck and were akward when trying to hurry along.

I'll see if I can find a pic of one similiar to mine. It's a NIKE one.

Hello!

I recently purchased a Delsey Helium Limited 300 Personal Bag off E-bags.com because I wanted a less bulky carry-on. It was well rated on E-bags and is still on sale. It seems to be just the right size and appears to be well-made.

I don't know much about carry-on bags, but I definitely like the price of the Eddie Bauer one a heck of a lot more than the first one! :rotfl:

LOVE my Jansport backpack with wheels for my carry on! May want to consider it.

I like the Eddie Bauer one.
