Carry on bags on a plane

For all you ladies out there who are familiar with what's allowed in your carry on bag, would a woman's shaver be allowed? I know all of the liquid rules, but I'm a little unclear about the shaver rules.

I checked the FAA website and it says no razor blades, but a shaver has blades in it, so I'm not sure.

We've always checked our baggage and this time we want to try to save time at our destination (Las Vegas), and waiting at baggage claim is NEVER quick!

Permitted items:

Walking canes and umbrellas (once inspected to ensure prohibited items are not concealed)
Nail clippers
Safety razors (including disposable razors)
Syringes (with documented proof of medical need)
Tweezers
Eye lash curlers



I think you are fine with shavers. What airline are you traveling with?

Thanks!!! I'm flying Southwest. That's the only airline we fly unless we are going somewhere they don't service.

TSA controls security, not the airlines. So it should not make a difference which airline you are flying.

I know, I think brekin67 was just wondering what airline I was flying...so I answered her. Thank goodness it's not the individual airlines, could you imagine trying to keep up with who allows what?!

I'm so excited!!! We are leaving in less than two weeks and we're flying in to Vegas and then driving to Disneyland for a few days and then back to Vegas for my sister's wedding and then flying back home from Vegas; unless, of course, we hit it big in Vegas but I don't count on that happening.
