Carousel inn Tripadvisor 3 1/2 stars. Yelp 2 1/2

Has anyone stayed in the Kid Suites? Are those in the "tower" building along with the other suites? And if so, do they also open to the outside, or is there a corridor. The pictures of the Kid Suites look adorable, but of course I don't trust that much.

Would love a comparison of the Carousel Kid Suites with the HoJo Kid Suites if anyone has seen both.

We didn't stay in the Kid Suites, but I asked at the front desk about the Kid Suites. I was told there are only three Kid Suites and they are all in the tower building--one per floor (maybe floors 2, 3, and 4, but I don't remember exactly).

Thank you for clearing this up. Would have been a lot easier if the lady on the phone would have told me (and others calling) that they are no longer open and offering this service. Thanks!

Yes, from older posts, I think that the breakfast wraps were provided by Quiznos. Since Quiznos is no longer at the Carousel Inn, I guess that explains why there are no longer breakfast wraps.

I'm not sure if there is a fee for self-parking if you stay in the concierge rooms. The fee for valet parking is $9/day (+additional fees/taxes). Valet parking was included in the Micechat rate. I was told that we could not self-park; valet parking was required. The nice thing about self-parking is that you do not have to tip the valet each time you want to use the car. We didn't use our car at all, so that was not an issue for us--just tipped the valet on the final day when we left.

Oh no! That's one of our favorite cheap lunches. We usually stay at HoJo's, and will stop by Quizno's in the AM for a large sandwich to share, and stuff it into our backpack for later consumption in the park. What a loss!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. :(

Well, I am Back. It was great. The only bad thing was the Hotel. I didn't like it. The room was way too small.
For the dis members that are familiar with WDW, the room was smaller than POP, at least it felt much smaller. I checked for bedbugs. There were none, but the Boxspring was dirty. I didn't want to make a scene, plus they gave me the room 2 hour prior to check in, so I was really greatfull.

The good thing about the Hotel is that it is very close to the entrance to Disneyland. Other than that......well, I just wanted my coffee right? of the seven day stay, They only put 3 days cups for coffee in the room. I asked as polite as I could for cups, they send me glasses, the last two days, I just went to the breakfast room and took them to my room. So two mornings I didnt have my coffee, because the breakfast room opens at 7 am, and I had to leave early, to go to Universal one day, and Magic Morning the next day:mad:

Of the seven nights, they didn't made my room for two days, even though I asked them to do it in the morning before I left, when it didnt work out,I asked one day prior, no luck, one they I called them at 5 pm, asking why they didn't do it, and they told me that the can go an "refresh" my room. I didn't pay to get it Refreshed, I payed for a clean room. Of course, no towels with a none done room.

No toilet paper either. Every time I have to ask for something, I gave a tip, so I finished paying more for the not done room. The front desk, were very polite and nice.
So I asked a worker ( I wont say the name for obvious reasons), and , this person, told me that they have to do 11 rooms each day, and they get payed very little, and since they have to do so many rooms, and they have to do first the rooms that are going to check in, sometimes they don't have time to do all of them, plus since is a lot of work, a lot of the personal, gets injured, and they don't show up for work, so they have to made more rooms, and then they get injured as well.

The food, please, don't count on it , they have 1 type of creame cheese, they have baggels, danish, and dounts.2 types of cereal. Coffee, 1 type of tea, bananas, oranges and some times apples. The low calorie sugar I belive is sweet and low. Also boiled eggs.( I saw a woman, bringing small packages of mayo and press the hard boiled eggs making a mixture, and then, she made egg bagel sandwiches; I thought that was a good idea.) The breakfast look so sad......And the danish and donuts with tons of sugar, you have to scrape some of the sugar or you will have a diabetic coma.

If I hadn't get the MiceChat rate, I will be so upset of paying so much for that room... Anyway, they have a Confy bed, but don't look down often.. The Pressure of the water is ok. The pool is not confortably warm enough. I didn't get a remodeled room, so the TV was, well it was there. The room was cleaned when they did it.:rotfl:

The new pizza place, is very good, expensive, but really good. I will post the photos of the room, bathroom and pizza place, I also will put the food that we order in Bubba Gump, and the photo of the Con queso (cone) that they sell in the cars fast food stop. Really good. You have to try it. Cars AMAZING. I won't be back to the Caroussel inn :sad2:, next, I will try, or Tropicana or the Fairfield Inn that looks very nice from outside. :)
