Carnival!

Ugg.. this is why I can not stand VMK Pass.

My issue with it is this:

Back when they had the 50 person line limit, it was not that easy to get in line. But it was possible. And once you were in line, you had a strong chance of getting into the game and being able to play, leaving it (mostly) up to skill or luck in game, rather than whether or not the DC Sniper had it's sights trained on you. Now, when this DC Sniper (I refer to it as that a lot) was finally taken down, I would might have not had a problem with this. But the last time I played ( not too long ago) lo and behold, DC was back with a better scope. Now, VMK Pass, in my opinion is a good idea. Woo for that, you no longer have to wait for the 10-20 minutes it (usually) takes to get through a fifty person line, but with the line cap now gone, I'm beginning to get flashbacks of the Halloween 2005 event, only now the line of 600 or so has brought friends. And we're supposed to stay in a line of 1000+ people, even walking around the game, and not DC? Absurd.

Anyway, the prizes for this look rather good, but I think I'll pass on the Line Event.

I haven't moved a virtual muscle in over five minutes..why do they do these buy something or do quest things?

Personally, I think it's to drive people insane.

"Well, you could play a quest, but you can also buy something, but not both. Choose wisely, for now this: whatever choice you make, you'll always have a little voice in the back of your head going 'You should have gone for the other one! It would have been much more awesome!' What could have been behind door number two? Where would you be if you had taken the other path at the crossroads. You will never know. And this knowledge will haunt you for the rest of your life."

~~~
If you need me, I'll be either playing God of War or a Gun Game on CS. Both are tons more fun than waiting in a line.
1-21 is all credits, 100 except 21 place is 200. 22-37 are prizes all different, 38 and 39 are 100 credits, 40-101 are prizes. 41 and 77 are red crates, 47, 73, and 96 are pink tiki. 102-104 are 100 credits. 105 is nothing.
Edit to add: I asked about pins she said no, got yellow soldier instead.
Does it appear that most people are waiting in line to buy something? I figure that is what I will do. Not sure though what I want to buy.
Since I have never actually gotten into one of the "yard sales" before, do you actually have to pay for the item :confused3
So did you get to do the quest also then?
VMK just crashed on me, and I don't think that I'm likely to get through a line of over 1000 people before the event is over. Guess I can just eat my dinner and stop checking on VMK tonight.
Aww I'm sorry. This happened to me to the other night.
No I didn't do the quest I made sure I was far from the river that went to the kiosk and clicked it so the little summary would come up. When everyone was asking I was in line to buy so I double clicked kiosk again and wrote down the prizes while I waited. It is not possible to do more than one thing, it ride quest or sale and once you pick one there is no going back, so don't get caught in the quest area if you aren't sure about doing it because then you will have no choice.
The last time, I think the pay was 50 credits. When you went through the turnstile, it automatically took the credits.
Thanks so much for the answer :thumbsup2 I had my character do the quest and hubby is going to do the yard sale, as I think for now I have enough Club 33 pins... 9 at last count. Is that greedy :rotfl2:
Yes, I don't have one club 33 pin.
Yes, I don't have one club 33 pin.
Me either. But it's still early in the month. :)
I'm currently at 420. :(
I wonder how many people will actually do the quest. If it's a lot of people, I wouldn't end up with anything. Is everyone who's doing the ride getting a pin? The description makes it sound like it's random on who gets one.
And there's really not much that I see that I want for sale. :(
I'm currently at 99(yay double digits!) but the queue is now past 1,100 I think..
Started at just under 1200 (and almost shot diet Coke all over the monitor when I saw the queue...) now at 478
Slight chance of making it? popcorn::
I have no idea how I beat my friends inside but I was no. 2 in queue. the yard sale is to the left, the river ride is in the middle and the quest is to the right. see previous post #62 by Cowboys girl about quest prizes. Sorry I did not look. I asked if there was beta tonight and Phinny said there was no beta tonight. She also said that SOME will get prizes who choose the river ride. She kept having to leave to fix it so that might be why the line is slow tonight. Also it should be 50 credits, however, when I went through the gate I got charged and then it threw me back to the door so I had to go in again and got charged again. Yellow soldier was most "valuable" at the time. GL all!
This is all info I got this time. New at this lol :)
Does anyone know why they don't start setting this up like they did on super bowl sunday? Several rooms, ran smoothly with no problems. I am fairly new to VMK and just wondered why they could not make this easier for more people to get in.
