We are narrowing down our choices for offsite hotels. I love being on property, but in an attempt to save some money, and knowing we will be at US for 3 days, we are branching out…Feels weird but I'm trying to go with it.
Anyway, I went to their site and plugged in our Oct dates, then went to Mousesavers to get theirs. Is it possible that booking direct without a code is cheaper? That's what it looks like to me :confused3

Yes it is possible. Caribe Royale runs a variety of specials. They also have one day sales every Wed. so check for rates on Wed and see what you can get

If you don't mind me asking, I was looking for something offsite Disney for beginning of October, were the rates reasonable?

Check out cheaptickets.com. Sometimes you can get a really good deal with one of their promo codes. Use promo code cheapie20 for extra savings, this code is posted on their web site.

I'll let you know I have a ressie there through hotwire blind bidding for next week. Got an awesome rate.

Why do people like Carib Royal and the sister properties compared to let's say the Bonnet Creek people :D

What do they offer that makes it a nice place to stay?

I would stay Bonnet Creek over Caribe any day. I just happened on a great rate that was an offer I couldn't refuse. I was in a one bedroom suite.

Oh. I see.

I normally stay on property.

This coming October we were looking at the POP.

Dollar for Dollar with today's sale... I have to choose.

You can get better rates at Caribe compared to WBC. It looks like WBC is getting popular so it's harder and harder to get good deals during peak seasons.

My choice is here or the POP onsite, we will have a car so transportation isn't a priority for me.

I decided to check it out as it is recommended on Mousesavers, and looks nice. We've never stayed offsite so I am clueless to them all!
Thanks for the tips. I've gotten some prices for BC, I'm not sure if its the place for us.The quotes aren't fantastic, and I'm uncomfortable not being able to choose a building/location as it looks huge and we don't want to walk forever to/from a pool with a waterside. I know people love it, but while the extra space is nice, we don't really need it.
We'd like :
-clean
- 2 comfy beds- not a sofa bed
-microwave/little fridge
-cheap
-great pool with slides
-interior corridors-not motel style
Laundry is a bonus. Our kid would never sleep in another room on vacation, and we will generally all go to bed at the same time ( either early and we read, or late if we're at the parks for an evening).

I recommend Caribe Royale highly! We went in late september this past year, and will be returning for December 2014.

We've always stayed in a regular 1 bedroom suite, but this year have upgraded to a villa.

The rooms are nice, and the entire property is well kept. The pool area is beautiful.

You literally drive straight through the intersection they are on, and 5 minutes later are entering disney property.

The best rates I've seen are with the mousesavers code.

The Caribe is our favorite offsite resort. The pool area is as nice as any deluxe resort and it is not too far a walk from any of the towers. The suites are very nice and so is the staff. The best part about this resort is the price.

Hi. I have a question and figured I'd ask in this thread rather than start a new one. Does anyone know how many guests fit in a 2 bedroom villa at Caribe Royal?

According to the website, the master bedroom has a king bed, the second has two queen beds and the living room has a pull-out queen-sized sofa bed, so eight.

I have stayed at both caribe royale and WBC and I would highly recommend both. We stayed at a 2 bedroom villa at the caribe with my sister for two nights prior to our onsite disney stay. I was sad to leave . The villa was huge - had a king , 2 queen beds , nice kitchen , 2 bathrooms and a washer & dryer. The pool was very nice with a great waterslide . And it was only about a mile from disney - extremely easy drive.
