Caribbean Beach Resort FAQ Part 3

Anyone know anymore about this? I read the links, but there is suck conflicting info. I'd hate to prep much and not be able to hang things. Thanks for the heads up...

When will all the refurbishments be done?

They are in Jamaica now. They have Trinidad North to do so at least another couple of months and they should be done.

I apologize in advance if this question has already been asked - I looked through the back pages and front page of the thread to see if I could find the answer and didn't quite find it.

I made a reservation at CBR for Mar. 1-7 using the 4/3 offer. When I booked the room, the Disney agent asked if I wanted a pirate themed room at an additional cost. I immediately said yes because I have a 6 yr old son who would flip to stay in a pirate room.

So now that I have the room, I am trying to understand where they are located. Are all the pirate rooms in Trinidad South - if yes does anyone know which buildings in TS. Also, do you know if these rooms have been refurbished?

All the rooms in Trinidad South will be Pirate rooms. They are all new so yes they will have been refurbished.

You're welcome! That's okay, that's the best part about Disney, we all get to act like kids!! I am pretty excited about the Nemo & Pirate rooms myself, they look so cool!

stayed in a nemo room a few weeks ago ...added a night on to our AKL vacation and all I saw was nemo border around the top of the room and I had to search THAT to find nemo lol I think they threw up some border and called it a nemo room! I just booked a pirate room for the summer though,cant wait to see those.

If I send a package to the resort, like some cheese and sausage from Hickory Farms ... will I get charged for a package delivery ???

I know I have mailed things before to the AKL with no charges but I just wanted to make sure ...

I heard from a fellow DISer who stayed at CBR in October that the carpets are new - not sure about the beds.

The beds themselves are new, as they replaced the old bed frame with a bed box (no more under-bed storage). I don't know about the mattresses though.

I am staying at CBR for the first time in a few weeks (YES) We have always stayed at the POP and never had more than two children with us at a time...so here is my question, when we go in February we will have our two year old with us and our two giirls will share a bed, but can we request a roll away bed or should we bring an air mattress with us or not...the only problem is we are flying and this could be difficult....need suggestions

Oh, yes, you can request a rollaway and bed rails. They may charge you for the rollaway even tho it is for a 2 yr old, but it wouldn't hurt to ask if they might wave the charge since s/he will not fit in a pack n play.

The rollaway fits nicely behind the door, next to the bed. You would only need a bed rail for one side. No charge for the bed rails.

We've always brought an air matress in one of our suitcases. My boys hate sharing a bed.

I looked on the first few pages of the FAQ, but nobody mentioned internet access. We won't be working on vacation but we need to buy spring training tickets online when they come out on the 21st (before they sell out!)

Does CBR have internet access? Can you hook up in the room or you must have a wireless card? How much?
