Caribbean Beach Resort FAQ Part 3

Just an update:
I've just called Resort Billing and they don't know why I've been charged for this amount. They apologize and refund the money.

A brief report of our stay. It was great. We didn't check out the pools because it was kind of cold those days. We forgot and left the "privacy please" card at the door however the mousekeeper still left us a big bag of towels, shampoo and soap in front of the door for that day. My dd got a birthday card and a couple of balloons from Cinderella a day after our checked-in day. She was very happy.

They charged me when I checked in.

No, we didn't use it because we didn't bring our laptop. We were at the parks and drove around most of the time.

Just curious if anyone knew the dimensions of the windows at CBR. I am looking to decorate our window and would like to get an idea of the size. I also have requested a corner room, would the windows be a different size or just have an extra window? Thank you!

Just a heads up -- Disney's current policy is that you will be charged a clean-up fee if you decorate your room windows. See http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1902076

The windows are pretty big - width and height; I had one time put a 4' wide Happy Birthday banner in the window and it fit fine (not a corner room)

No wonder my room wasn't renovated! We were in TS! I do happen to think it's a little money grubbing of Disney to charge extra for the Pirate rooms in TS when they're so far from OPR.

We were in TS in Sept. and I didn't notice any rehab going on, but rooms are suppose to be complete later this month.

I honestly don't think TS is any further away from food court than Barbados. But, I personally wouldn't pay the extra money for TS (unless my son begged me , but he's not into pirates - he's into animals and is begging to stay at AKL )

I'm lost! I had subscribed to this thread a few months ago and thought I was keeping up, but I see someone posted about the quiet pool in Martinique being closed. What are the dates for this closure? I can't find the original post about this at all. I'm sorry!

I was kind of counting on hanging out at the quiet pool with our daughter while we did laundry on one afternoon of our trip, and might request TN if the M pool will be closed the week of Feb 21-28 while we're there.

SORRY! Nevermind! I forget that the first page of this thread gets updated. The Martinique pool re-opens Jan 30. Whew!

Thank you guys so much for this thread. I decided on the CBR for our family and CANNOT wait!! We've only stayed in value before (Sports and Movies), so this will be a nice change, I think...

I hope you love CBR!! It's like a vcation within a vacation.

If you really don't like your room location (when you see the map at check-in, do ask them what else is available...after all, it is your vacation and the resort is wonderful).

When they redid the rooms, did they also replace the mattresses? If so, are they now pillowtop?

Has anyone stayed in one of the pirate rooms yet? Would love to see some photos and hear the views of someone who has experienced one first hand as we are staying in one in August!

I believe January 24th is the set date. I check in on the 20th and will definitely be asking about them!
