Oh I hope its not too cold to swim when we are there in 9 days!!! My girls will be very disappointed.

My brain is too tired to deal with the search right now - can anyone tell me about wireless internet at CBR? We are going NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sorry, overexcited) - and my hubby needs to be checking into work during our girls' naptime - anyone have info on wifi for me? TIA!!! :thumbsup2

There is no wireless at CBR. Your choices are wired high speed, for which they provide a cable, or modem connection thru room phone. High speed is $9.95 for a 24 hr. period, or free through the phone, if you have a local dial up number.

I have a question on the pool bar at CBR? Does anyone know first of all if they serve wine there. I was looking at an old menu on allears and it doesnt show any. Secondly, how late are they open at night? After a long day at the parks I think I might want to get a drink when we get back to the resort. :thumbsup2

I'll see you at the Bar we leave on Tuesday....Can not wait. It'll be our first time at CBR, we always stayed at an allstar or pop before.

I tried very hard to search for the answer to this but.... no luck. Can anyone tell me the order the buses pick up at for the various stops around CBR. I have looked at the resort map and could not figure it out. My wife is going over Martin Luther King jr. weekend and wanted to request a room near the first or second bus stop in order to avoid the possibility of full busses and therefore longer waits to get to the parks.

Thanks!

That topic is covered exhaustively in this thread: Caribbean Beach Resort Bus Routes

To summarize, buses to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom/Blizzard Beach start at Jamaica, while buses going to The Magic Kingdom and Downtown Disney/Typhoon Lagoon start at Martinique. All buses travel clockwise around the resort.

I will also add that when I was there in August I was never on a bus that was so full that people couldn't get on.

Good Afternoon all,
I keep hearing over and over again about the busses and the concerns over timeing and such. Well I have stayed at many of the resorts but just recently stayed at the AKL. Even though it has only one bus stop dont think that means faster. With one bus stop the walk to the buses can be very very long. And that is hard after your 3rd or 4th day to walk that far with sore feet. Well not really hard cause some how being in disney makes pain not hurt as bad. Yes there are a lot of stops at CBR but the good news is it that it allows you to get off a bus relativly close to your room.

As for waiting for the buses. Buses are supposed to run every 20 minutes but reality is it could be 5 minutes or 45 minutes it is the luck of the draw. Really it is all up to the new bus transit software that disney spent way to much purchasing. I could get technical but the bottom line is they purchased a system that was ment for a diffent type of system not one so complex.

You will be hard pressed to find a bus that will be to full for you. So go to WDW with the knowledge that you are there to relax and have fun.

And by the way we will be at CBR feb 8-13 for my DS and DD first trip to WDW. Cant WAIT

As I prep to ship my package to our room for our upcoming trip!! YEAH!!! I started thinkging - Does the CBR provide coffee mugs, coffee filters and coffee?? Does anyone know if the store sells the fru-fru french vanilla etc coffee creamer, that is typically kept in the fridge section? I will be toast without my morning coffee. :surfweb:

Thanks!

No coffee mugs... but there is Styrofoam cups for the coffee. There is coffee provided in pouches. It's the kind that is inside the filter. Sorry No fru-fru creamer. I packed my own(in powder form) and shipped it down with our snacks.

Anyone have a sneak peak yet? We're almost to 2009 & So, I know they will be showing up soon. Just an impatient kid. LOL I showed my 3yo DS the drawing of the room today & he said. "Its Peter Pan & Captain Hook. Argh. Pirate room. Yippie" So, I'm excited all over again.

We were at CBR from 11/21 to 11/29 and I have to say it was great. My DH and I were celebrating our 14th anniversary and when we checked in we were upgraded to a wonderful waterview room 3118 in Trinidad North. Everything was nice. little wait times on bus and then they were not crowded or else we timed it just right. All cast members went out of their way to make our trip special. We got an anniversay card signed by characters at 1900 Park Fare and Ohana's. We rec'd a cupcake at Tusker's House for breakfast. A pixie dust Tinkerbell Bell as we entered DAK. We also got wine with a strawberry on the rim at WCC. The trip was magical and we can't wait to return in 2009

It depends. If you are going to stay until closing then I would take my own car. That way you wouldn't be waiting on transportation.

Until I moved here I never drove to MK. I always took the bus or monorail.

Do you think its better to take the bus from CBR to MK or your own car?

We always have our own car but hate driving to the Magic Kingdom. When you drive, you must park in the Ticket & Transportation Center parking lot, then get on a tram, be let off at the Ticket & Transportation Center and next take either the ferry or the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom.

If you take a Disney bus, they deposit you right next to the park entrance, bypassing the parking lot and the TTC.

When we were there in October we drove from CBR to all the parks. The 1st day we went to MK we left the resort at 8am, parked very close to the front and was able to walk to the TTC. We took the monorail and were thru security at MK by 8:30am. Later in the trip we were there on a Saturday night and left after Wishes....it was so nice not to have to wait for a bus.

I often get the veggie burger at ASMu....it's excellent. I think all the Values have it on their menu.

Do you know if it's available at CBR? We got a great deal and will be going at the end of Jan!

TIA
