Does anyone have anything good to say about Trinidad North?
I was thinking of requesting Jamaica bld 45.
But Trin N. bld 31, looks like a nice location.
Close to OPR and the main pool.

Which is closer?

YAY!! Thanks for all the new pics! We're still 30 days out and the excitement is building.

I can't wait to see the water features turned on for the new pool!!! Also curious how the area will look lit up at night.
Hey, ducky... we will be at CBR at the same time as you!!!

Thank you Safetymom and pistachio for posting the pictures of CBR. It looks like the pool is pretty much complete!:cool1: Any word of when the opening is ? I'm so excited for our stay at CBR in October I can't hardly stand the wait any longer.:surfweb: :rotfl:

It seems like such a shame to see such a beautiful pool, filled with water, but not ready to swim in.

It looks great! I can't wait until our trip!!!

On that note...

I have a question...

Today, I checked the code again and if we stayed an extra day (six nights), we would be paying $2,658, as opposed to 5 nights at $2,668 without the code.

I know I already told DH that we would be saving $360 on the five nights, but now, we could be saving $10 on 6 nights.

Do you think I should even ask him for the extra night, or just be satisfied with the fact that we saved $360?

Oh! I checked the offer and with the 6th night, we'd also get one more day of DDP and tix with Park Hopper.

What do you think?:confused3

I say if budget and schedule allows then by all means stay another night!!

Hopefully I am able to answer some of the questions of been seeing that are pool related!

When will the new pool be opening?
The most recent updates I have heard say early September. Although the pool is very nearly finished with construction there are still some finishing touches to be done and all CMs involved with the pool must be trained on its operating procedures.

How long is the new slide?
I think everyone already knows that there will now be two slides at the main pool, the old slide which is just under 20' in length is still there, refinished. The new slide according to the original concepts is supposed to be 82' in length. I'll see if I can confirm this in the next couple of days.

For everyone staying at CBR in October or beyond I can guarantee the pool will be open by then, no worries. September is starting to become more iffy because if this rain doesn't go away, they may have problems with some of the construction and it could cause further delays. The CMs are not allowed onto the pool deck to begin training until the pool has been inspected and handed over by the state.

Oh and ahecht that is definitely a Florida Softshell Turtle, they are everywhere around CBR.

Ummmm... tell DH that you're staying another night. $10 saved is a big deal!

do the sixth night!:wizard:

I am not sure what you mean by the old slide because the slides are new. There is one that empties into the deep end of the pool and a separate one.

The roof has not been tiled on the bathroom building next to the pool.

I haven't stayed in Jamaica 45, but we did stay in Trinidad North 31 -- there are several photos in the CBR 2007 link below.

I'm pretty sure it's a shorter walk from Trinidad North 31 to OPR than from Jamaica 45, but not much. I think you'd be fine in either location. Trinidad North is a preferred location, costing more, and Jamaica is not, so you could save some money. The catch is that particular building requests aren't guaranteed, so you won't really know what building you're in until you check in.

All in all, we loved Trinidad North 31 -- we had a corner room (#3128) on the first floor that walked right out onto a courtyard. It was so great.... Honestly, though, I think you'd be equally happy in Jamaica! Anywhere at CBR is great!:thumbsup2

i think they meant will the slide in the main pool be any longer than the original which was very small/short.:)

Thanks for the info:thumbsup2
The photos are awesome.
Yeah, I know its not a guarantee.

A preferred room opened up for our dates :cool1: :yay: switched from CSR to CBR preferred!! I'm loving looking at all these pictures.

Trinidad North, all three buildings of it, is a preferred location area. You have to pay extra and reserve a "preferred location" room in order to get a room there. Sure, you could always get lucky with a free upgrade, but that would be unlikely.

You have a much better chance of getting your request if you request Jamaica 45.

But since people pay extra to stay in Trinidad North, I don't think you need to hear any further "good things" about it.:rotfl:

OK, all this talk, all these pictures....

I DONT THINK I CAN WAIT 102 MORE DAYSSSSSSSSSS!!

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl:

I STAND CORRECTED ....100 MORE WOO HOOOOO!!

Tomorrow starts my double DIGITSSSSSSSS!!!

I have a few questions for you CBR experts. Does each village have it's own laundry room? Also what time does the pool open? Does anyone know if they have a place where they do hairwraps? My DD loves getting one on our Disney trips. Is there any things I should not miss while at this resort???

Thanks a bunch,
Nichole

Each village has its own laundry room - next to pool area. Usually they have hair wrapping by OPR (the main pool and food court area), but we haven't been since Dec. 2006.

Check out the island - the bridge that crosses the lake has a nice island area. You can rent bikes and ride around the lake. You can see Epcot fireworks from beach area by OPR. Take your time walking and you'll enjoy the resort and not feel over whelmed by its size.
