Sorry to hear that. No, it's never easy.I was to watch our dog as well but we had to put him down due to old age and not being able to get around anymore. Man that was hard.
ouch.Anyways, while over at my DMiL's house I tripped and started having back spasms. Man that hurt. Of course I had no one at home to help so I called a friend, who wound up calling 911 because I couldn't get out of the house I hurt so bad.
Good for you!I've auditioned for, and got into, two shows at a local theater company, Evita and Newsies.
Sorry to hear that. No, it's never easy.
ouch.
Been there. I've always said that a back is just poor design.
Good for you!![]()
Sounds like a good sign. Good luck!Still waiting on work to make the move and officially offer me the surgical coordinator position. Apparently I'm supposed to shadow the manager today, so maybe it will happen soon.
No it isn't easy. I was surprised at how hard that was. It took some time, but I can now come downstairs in the morning and not look for our dog sleeping in the corner.
Oh I realize. I’ve thrown it out too often, (as recently as last month) not to.You don't realize what the back brings to table until you've done something to it.
Welcome back??I'm back from a week in WDW and very, very excited to be back in the office which of course is why I'm logging onto the DIS.
Good to hear! Although I saw your posts on IG and it certainly looked like it from there. We really had a great week.
The place is much more expensive and due to the monetized Lightning Lane system, you can't get on nearly as many rides in a day as you used to be able to.
Huh! I'm surprised by that. Much shorter than I'd have guessed. For the big-ticket rides, wait times in standby averaged around 25-30 minutes for us.
At times waits were longer (or posted longer), so we would avoid those rides and do something else until the line went down. Sometimes it helped to eyeball the lines since we know they manipulate the wait times. The first time we rode Guardians, the posted wait was 45 minutes. But we walked by and saw that the line was completely indoors, so we jumped in and it only took 25 minutes before we were in the pre-show.Huh! I'm surprised by that. Much shorter than I'd have guessed.
Excellent salaried time management strategy.I'm back from a week in WDW and very, very excited to be back in the office which of course is why I'm logging onto the DIS.
Excellent park time management, as well.We really had a great week. The place is much more expensive and due to the monetized Lightning Lane system, you can't get on nearly as many rides in a day as you used to be able to. But despite that, we were able to ride everything we wanted to do using the standby lines (and often multiple times). Mid-August seemed to be a good time to go as crowds didn't seem too bad. For the big-ticket rides, wait times in standby averaged around 25-30 minutes for us. Had a lot of great meals via the dining plan and we really liked being able to use the Skyliner at the Caribbean Beach resort.
True and also true. Can't do it as often, but it's still doable if you manage the expectations.Do you get the ROI that you used to? Absolutely not. Can you still have a good vacation? Yes.
My boys and I tried the Skyliner from CBR to Epcot on one of our first nights. We had planned on driving our van to the park to cut down on travel time. But I got back to the room and told my wife, "I don't think I can drive it there as fast as the Skyliner."And I agree about the skyliner. It has made Pop(70s) our favorite value spot and CBR the go to for moderates. Of course, your mileage may very...
You did make one monetary miscalculation though...
If you'd told me that you were stopping in Charlotte, you would likely have gotten your dinner paid for that night.
Oh, trust me... I ain't offended, so apologies are quite unnecessary.I actually did think about trying to get something together. The problem was that we were leaving from Delaware that morning and driving all day, and I had no idea what time we would actually arrive in Charlotte. Getting through the DC/Fredericksburg/Richmond gauntlet is a crapshoot. I would have hated to not get there until late and have forced you to wait on us all evening. And we were gone by lunchtime the next day.
But I apologize for not giving you a heads up! I didn't mean to offend.
And I do appreciate that, but given how much more my boys eat than the last time we met up, I may have done you a huge favor!Just sayin' that my sense of hospitality would have demanded that I pick up the check (especially knowing that one needs all available monetary resources when mounting an assault on the castle).![]()
