We're hitting the road to Disney and Caribbean Beach tomorrow and will arrive on the 24th. I'll be sure to ask about the murphy beds/refurb and will try to get pictures too. We have a couple of resort days built into our two week trip so, hopefully, I can sneak a picture or two.

Summersun, I'll try to see if I see any of the soy items while we are there.

thank you have a great trip x

Do they have campfires/bonfires here where you can toast marshmallows and such? I'm trying to decide if I should do a spilt stay here!

TIA!

I am at 40 days and cannot wait!! My 6th graders are very crazy right now and all I can think about is being at Disney!!!

The one I got this last week was pre-made. They had a bunch made up ready to be ordered, so your mileage may vary.

I should have said they CAN be made to order if you ask. Thanks for the clarification.

So should I be calling the phone number listed as CBR or another number? My husband has had back surgery and has mobility issues so the room request is really important for us. We have paid for a water view. I was thinking Martinique 22 looks close to a lot of stuff. Would love a preferred room but none available for free dining :(

A preferred room is something you pay for on top of the standard. So, you would book your holiday including the dining, and then tick the upgrade to preferred box afterwards. That's what I did.

The best buildings are ask for are Martinique 25 and 26 - these are nearest to the food court. There's a disabled parking bay by 26, and the bus stop is nearest to 25.

...and all that they can think about is getting out of school for summer holidays! As a retired teacher (31 years), I can honestly say I don't miss those last few weeks of school, much.

Have a great trip, you'll have earned it! :)

Mickeystoontown I am dieing to find out what area you got at CBR. For some reason I was thinking if any one got some pixiedust and was able to get the reburbished room it would be you guys. Can not wait to hear your reports!

I thought I was getting over my Disney withdrawal but now I an having CBR withdrawal LOL!!! I really enjoyed ending the night with a cupcake and a lava smoothie. Any one know if you can order the cupcakes to have them sent to your home?

We are here now and, lots of activity in Jamaica building 41. It is being pretty closely watched but cast members so I can't get too close. It looks like they have torn out all walls because when I walked by you could see the toilet out in the open. Still going to try and get pictures if I can. We are in Jamaica 43 with a water view a
nd have to change rooms tomorrow when our package begins but we will be right next door. Going out for a walk now and will report back if I see more progress.

Interesting. So it's not just some new paint and throwing in a couple of queen sized beds. Sounds like they might be reconfiguring the rooms somewhat, too. Keep us posted!:)

It will be exciting to see who on here will be the first to get one of the refurb rooms! It's been fun getting updates from everyone there now. Keep them coming!

Yes! Every night from 6:30-7:30 on the Martinique Beach, which was right around the corner from Old Port Royale. It was awesome! My kids (and my DH & I) loved it!!!

Some rooms are supposed to convert to suites. That's probably why it seems like walls are torn down. I imagine it will be something like what they did at ASMu.
