Okay all you CBR fans, I need some opinions from those of you who have stayed in both the pirate rooms and the Nemo rooms. We've only stayed in the Nemo rooms and love them. For our upcoming trip, I am thinking about changing our reservations to a pirate room. I know all about the location, walk, etc. I am mostly concerned about the comfort of the beds.

I haven't stayed in a Nemo room, but we stayed in a pirate room a couple of weeks ago. The beds were not all that comfy, to be perfectly honest. I woke up two mornings with really nasty neck pain, probably for the most part because of the pillows. I couldn't turn my head to the right all day. I loved the room, but would have been happier without the sore neck. I swapped out pillows with the extra ones in the drawer and they were a bit better.

Hi gang,
Just back. Stayed in room #2441, had a awesome time. Crowds were heavy but we were able to get fast passes and ride everything we wanted too. One little issuse that still is brothering me alot. Upon check in we searched our room around and under the beds, cabinets etc, due to our toddler that puts everything in his mouth. what we have found in the past were pennies or nickles, not this time.
I found 3 white pills, 2 under the bed against the frame of the bed and one under the end table. Both were easily in reach if one were to stick there hand under the bed or end table while lying on the floor. On them were " Bp 630", i googled this. We found that that pills were xanax. My wife or myself do not take these's meds, so they were left by a previous visitor in this room.

So please if your traveling with small ones look everywhere when you check in, had my 18 month old gotten one of these we would have never known and i'm not so sure what would have happened.

Other than that we had a blast!!
Also let me suggest the turkey dinner at the food court with many sides to choose from, it was great! Now of course i'm depressed to be home.:guilty:

Next trip oct 2013 only 20 months away and we will be bringing a new member of the family on that trip. Our daughter who is due on april 9th 2012.Sadly i don't think we can stay at cbr anymore our favorite resort, with 2 sons and a daughter we are soon to be a family of 5. :sad1: I think we have to stay in the family suites!

Any questions?

We have booked a king room at CBR for a week from Sunday!! Just wondering if anyone knows are the King spread thru the resort or in certain islands. Doing online check in and wondering what island to request...especially for view of beach if possible???

Thanks!

There are kings located in every village. I believe most of them are corner rooms.

I just found out you can request a village during the online check-in procedure. Just remember these are only requests.

Also, there is a category of room called "water view" that costs extra. And by water view, it can be a view of one of the quiet pools or one of the lakes. If you really want a view of one of the beaches, your best be would be to upgrade to a water view and then request that water view be of one of the beaches.

We were in Jamaica 45 and loved the location. It was a beautiful stroll over the bridge to get to the main pool and OPR. Under five minutes to get there. Aruba 51 is another great spot. But really, the whole resort is beautiful. Enjoy!!!

Just got back Wednesday night from 5 days at CBR. I did online check in and it lets you request 2 villages. I requested Aruba and Trinidad South, We got Aruba building 52, great location, could see the lake from our room and the quiet pool was right outside. I agree, the Turkey dinner at the food court is great.

Hi all. We will be staying at CBR for a quick 2 night stay in April in a pirate room. I read on another site that the buildings do not have elevators. Just wondering if this is true so I can request a ground floor room if I need to. Thanks!

Thanks for setting me straight. :thumbsup2 I went back and corrected my post.

I am a pharmacist and double checked this one for you. This definitely was a 0.25 mg alprazolam (xanax) you found in the room. You really should report this to the management. It could have been dangerous if your little one had ingested it.

We are one week away from our first family trip to WDW! Quick question, I am not doing online check-in so that we won't miss out on any important information. We plan on arriving at CBR around noon next Saturday. How busy do you think chek-in will be? It's ok if our room isn't ready, because we just plan on getting our park tickets and heading to MK. We have booked a preferred room if that makes any difference. Thanks!

Oh good! Someone else from the DIS who will be arriving the same day as us! We're hoping to check-in around 11:30ish, but heading to DTD. I hope it's not too busy, we'll be hungry! :lmao:

If you see us, come say "hi"! I'll be sporting a "hidden LGMH". :thumbsup2

I booked a standard room, I read where someone suggested requesting bldg. 21, is this good or should I request something else? I would like to be close to the food court for breakfast. tia

We were just in building 21 and though we didn't mind the walk, it is not extremely close and is sort of hard to get to. Even after 8 days, we never got the hang of finding our building quickly. We had requested Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51 but didn't get them because the resort was full of cheerleaders upon our arrival on the 11th. These two sections are definitely closer to the food court, just a short walk across the bridge so I would ask for them if I were you. If you want to be in Martinique, building 22 is right off the main path and it's not preferred as far as I know.
Have a great time. Wish we were still there:) Still going thru Disney detox:sad2:

If you didn't book preferred, you will not be directly next to food court. Other good options are Jamaica which is across the lake from food court and just a short walk across the bridge. Or the non-preferred bldgs in Martinique which are not a far walk either.

were you first on the bus?

If the bus enters the front gate, it stops at Martinique first. If back gate, then the 4th stop.

Just got here to CBR at 7pm tonight, but can so far say we are over the moon happy with it. We have a pirate room- they are SO much cuter and cooler than the pictures make them look. Our room is spotless and not at all "outdated" as some reviews out there seem to claim. It's really quite fantastic!!! Our room request for a corner room was met and it's also facing in to the gardens and on the first floor (neither of which we requested, but certainly happy to have!). We're just around the corner from the quiet pool, which we used tonight after doing dinner and the 2nd half og the movie at Port Royal. The walk is not bad at all to Trin South, and this place is GORGEOUS!

Only downer- one of our bags is los in transit. Thankfully the least important. Anyway, more after we are back I'm sure... but seriously, this place rocks and we are very, very happy. ! :thumbsup2

We are also checking in on the same day as you at CBR, during online check I put in that we would arrive around 8a.m., most likely our room wont be ready then but I did call ahead and you can leave all your bags and get your welcome package and park tickets awhile so you can leave all the luggage and head to the parks while your room gets ready.
