We did online check-in and stated that we would arrive at 7 AM. We arrived at 6:30 AM and our room was ready! It was great. We were able to take showers (after driving for 15 hours) and freshen up before heading off to the parks. I don't know what other information they give if you don't do online check-in, but they gave us plenty upon arrival. If you plan on arriving very early, I would definitely do online check-in. Based on what I've read on this site and personal experience, there's a pretty good chance your room will be ready.

Just got here to CBR at 7pm tonight, but can so far say we are over the moon happy with it. We have a pirate room- they are SO much cuter and cooler than the pictures make them look. Our room is spotless and not at all "outdated" as some reviews out there seem to claim. It's really quite fantastic!!! Our room request for a corner room was met and it's also facing in to the gardens and on the first floor (neither of which we requested, but certainly happy to have!). We're just around the corner from the quiet pool, which we used tonight after doing dinner and the 2nd half og the movie at Port Royal. The walk is not bad at all to Trin South, and this place is GORGEOUS!

Only downer- one of our bags is los in transit. Thankfully the least important. Anyway, more after we are back I'm sure... but seriously, this place rocks and we are very, very happy. ! :thumbsup2

Hope you all are having a great time. We might stay at CBR this May if everything works out, we have never stayed there, so I am very excited. Have Fun!

My bf and I are going on a cruise the last week of March, and found it was cheaper to fly into Orlando than Ft Lauderdale, where the cruise departs from. I worked in a few extra days and convinced him he had to experience Disney with me during our extra time :lmao:We will have one day before the cruise to explore (we are staying at the DTD Holiday Inn).. but when we return we will be at CBR for 2 nights! YAY! I stayed at CBR last April on a trip with my mom and fell in love.

I have a question about online check-in, though. How far in advance can you check in online? I would like to be able to do online check-in and request to stay in Jamaica, but I don't think it will be possible (or cost-effective) to use the internet on the cruise ship.

I was just reading another thread about PORS updating their coffee pots to Cuisnart single cups, or "pods". Does anyone know if CBR has done this or do they still have the standard coffee pot?

You can do online-checkin 10 days prior to your arrival. Have fun!!

yes, single cups and the little round pods that remind me to a tea bag :)

Okay all you CBR fans, I need some opinions from those of you who have stayed in both the pirate rooms and the Nemo rooms. We've only stayed in the Nemo rooms and love them. For our upcoming trip, I am thinking about changing our reservations to a pirate room. I know all about the location, walk, etc. I am mostly concerned about the comfort of the beds.

There have to be more opinions out there about the pirate room beds and I'd love to hear them.

Hi CBR folks - just had to jump in here and say we just booked a free dining trip at CBR for September and I am freaking out I am so excited.:banana::banana: We are going with our 3 kids for their first trip and were set on Pop Century cause we thought we would save SO much money.

When I called in today to add the FD our dates weren't available at Pop Century - so with dates we didn't want, a preferred room at Pop Century (all that was available) and having to upgrade to regular free dining from quick service the total was only $150 cheaper than just moving up to a moderate. (Add in the fact that we were going to rent a refrigerator and I really feel like we are getting a great deal). I am SOOOO happy - CBR looks amazing and I think our kids will love the water areas.

Okay - back to read this whole thread and figure out which buildings to request.:cool1:

How is the bus to Downtown Disney? At all the resorts I've stayed at, this seems to be the worst (long, lots of stops, not often enough). Doesn't matter if I'm staying at a value, mod, or deluxe, it seems to be horrible. So on my DTD evening, I am debating on whether I should drive. I'll have a rental car and parking is very easy at DTD (unlike the theme parks) but that would mean I couldn't have a drink while I'm wandering DTD. If the bus isn't THAT bad, I'd prefer doing that. What was your experience with the bus to DTD from CBR?

Thanks!

CBR is very close to DTD. Once the bus leaves the resort it is only about 8-9 minutes until you are at the Marketplace stop. :goodvibes Coming back does take a little longer, with the a stop at the West Side (you can avoid this by getting on at the West Side and not the Marketplace when coming back) and usually a waterpark.

Fabulous news! I'd rather not drive - less to worry about! I remember the first year they didn't have the buses stop at the OTHER side of the West side (back when they had Marketplace, Pleasure Island, and the West side bus stops). I went all the way over there to avoid the other 2 stops and found out there weren't bus stops over there anymore :rotfl:

I checked the first two pages of this thread and wondered if you have a map of this resort like others do for other resorts? Thanks

I know what type of system you are talking about, but have never used one. :confused3 How many coffee pods are there per day? I was going to bring extra coffee since DH and I love our coffee. But I guess I cant do that if it's a pod type of system. Also...DH likes tea and oatmeal for breakfast. Can it just "brew" water if we don't add the pod? I know...I sound silly...but I am trying to think ahead.

I'm SO excited...8 more days until were at CBR!!! Were staying at POP on the 8th-10th then checking into CBR on the 10th! I called and requested Aruba 51 or Jamaica 45. Are those good rooms? All all water view rooms upgrades?

They typically leave 2 regular and 2 decaf per day BUT just call and ask for more if you want more.

If you don't put the coffee pod in, it will just 'brew' hot water.

How exciting! Yes, Aruba 51 and Jamaica 45 are great buildings in their respective "villages". They are just a short walk over the bridge to the main pool and OPR.

Water views are upgrades, and not worth it IMHO. A water view can be of a pool or lake and can be a very small glimpse of it too. Also, you don't have a balcony of your own to enjoy a water view.
