So, when will those pirate rooms be ready for guests? I can't wait to see them! I haven't stayed at CBR before, but the pirate rooms might make it worthwhile!

The rooms have been available for booking for quite some time now. All are located in the village of Trinidad South. I know that there are pictures of the pirate rooms posted on the Resort picture thread.

This might seem like a silly question, but I was wondering if there's a bakery or place to get ice cream sundaes and milkshakes and things like that for dessert at CBR. I've been looking through the FAQ threads but I can't find anything like that and I'm leaving at the end of the week.

Also, does anyone know if the king bed rooms are in a preferred location? That's the only reason I can think of for them being more expensive. Thank you much in advance! :goodvibes

so...I've read that CBR has little coffee bags to brew and that the coffee is not so great, so...

What size coffee filters will I need here?
Can I buy a bag of ground coffee @ poly

Thanks :lovestruc

When I was at CBR a couple of weeks ago I had brought my own bags and filters but I thought the provided little pod type things were fine after all. The coffee for refills at Movies and Music was always terrible... Nescafe I guess. I don't know what the refill coffee was at CBR since we just brought our food back to our room most of the time but I thought the provided coffee was good. It wasn't Nescafe.

Actually I happen to have an actual package here. It's called Cafe Valet. It says at the bottom, "A Gourmet French Roast Coffee" and on the back touts "100% Arabica coffees including some of the world's finest Columbians."

I never cracked open my little bag of coffee that I brought. I did, however, bring those little individual packs of liquid flavored creamer. Ahhhh. :thumbsup2

The king bed rooms are scattered all over the resort. No there isn't a bakery. There are baked goods in the grab and go market. There is a case with ice cream bars and cones.

Not a silly question at all. When we were at CBR last summer, we bought ice cream bowls at checkout, and went to the self serve ice cream machine to fill them ourselves. There were vanilla, chocolate, and vanilla/chocolate swirl ice cream with chocolate and butterscotch syrup for toppings. No ice cream station in the food court like at the All Star Resorts.

Thank you! I don't get why a bed preference costs more money if the room isn't in a special place, but I guess it's a Disney thing.

Thanks! I can't feasibly say staying at CBR with the dining plan then. One of the reasons I gravitate to the All Stars and Pop Century is I'm from a family of picky eaters with a picky fiance as well. The moderates seemed to have pretty much the same selection of quick service meals though and I've always wanted to stay at CBR, but with the dining plan and getting dessert with your meal, I'd rather have the bigger selection for that I suppose than staying at CBR as opposed to POR or POFQ I guess. :headache:

I am wondering what size coffee filters as well. I am a wake up and have my first cup of coffee before the shower kind of gal, and the little pot provided just ins't enough for both my husband and I. I never thought to bring my own coffee and filter, but I can easily do that. :thumbsup2

Anyone know what size filters???

The coffee makers are the four cup size.

OK, I ordered from garden grocer this morning. :cool1: If my room isn't ready when my order gets there, will the folks at the Customs House hold it for me? Do they have a refrigerator for cold items?

Yes, Bell Services at the CBR will hold the items for you. Anything that needs to be kept cold will be refrigerated.

I ordered from Garden Grocer this past August. We received a call from them asking if we had checked in yet. We were about an hour or so away (got caught in traffic due to accident). They said they'd leave the items with Bell Services. When we checked in to the CBR, the castmember told me to go to Bell Services and they'd give me my items. There were a lot of people at the Bell Services window so we went to our room and called them. In about 15 minutes, our packages were delivered right to our door.

Thanks! This is the first time I've been the trip planner (I haven't been to WDW since I was a teenager, and that was quite a while ago :lmao:). Our trip is getting so close now that I'm trying to make sure I have everything covered. :goodvibes

We will be arriving at CBR in 8 1/2 days! Can't wait to leave to WI cold & SNOW!
One of my family's favorite activities is Hidden Mickey hunts. Does anyone have a good hint of where to start our hunt at the CBR?

The only time that my family (wife and 5 year old daughter) could go was the week after Easter. I know that this is 'peak season'. I'm really nervous about that. Can someone talk me down/ give me pointers on staying during the busy season? Thanks!

I would check with GG first. Our room WAS ready, and we were IN IT, but GG apparently leaves ALL deliveries with BS now?? :confused3 Not sure about that, but it was in our case. :sad2: We got a call from GG AFTER they delivered to BS, and then we had to call and wait for BS to deliver. Kinda crazy, but it worked ok in the end. ;)
