I have a special request for a refrigerator while at CBR. I know that they come in the room, but before the refurb the refrigerators had a small freezer in them. The new ones do not, or at least I don't remember one in there. Well, I had surgery on my shoulder recently and I am still wearing a shoulder harness with an ice pack attachement. The pack is actually a gel pack that needs to be frozen before it can be placed in the case and molded to my shoulder. Is it possible to have them change out the refrigerator, and if so, who do I call? I have to do this, I am icing down my shoulder twice a day and at night to sleep. I really need help for this, I appreciate any help I can get.

I would suggest calling WDW Resort Special Needs Dept: 407-939-7807 option #1. If anyone can help, it would be special needs. You would definitely have a better chance, if the resort can supple a freezer at all, through Special Needs rather than the resort directly or even the general CRO number.

We are having a grand gathering at the CBR in Sept. Been to Disney many times but this is the first stay at CBR. Any suggestions on the best rooms to request. Close to the main building would be great.

Any other tips would be great too.

Did you pay for a preferred location or a standard location?

If you booked standard, I would suggest one of the Martinique non-preferred buildings. I've stayed in Martinique 23 (non-preferred) and it was a great location.

We have also stayed in Jamaica 41 and it was a good location too.

If you paid for preferred, then you'll be close to the main building and placed in either Trinidad North or Martinique.

Started your TR yesterday and we were in the same room our last CBR stay!! LOVED that room, but then we've always had a great room at CBR (5/6 stays) - and always a corner room and usually with a very nice lake view, close to OPR, even before preferred was a bookable category. Even our first stay in 1988 with corner parking lot view, was so pretty and very close to OPR. Martinque is our CBR home.

I've reserved and paid for Preferred so that isn't an issue, but I'd sure like to have the other stuff too. But I also know if I put too much on my request, I'm less likely to get any of it.

We generally ask at check-in. I'd request corner room, then lake view and ask again at check-in.

I'm glad you came over to read my trip report. You'll soon see we had a lot of things happen to us on our last trip. They may not have been funny at the time but they made for a great laugh later.

The same room? Isn't that a coincidence! The only request I put in was a room in the newly refurbished Nemo rooms as they weren't all done last August. When we got to our room, I was excited to see it was a corner room, first floor and an easy walk to everything.

This year, I haven't made any requests. I think we are going to just ask for a corner room anywhere because I don't think there's a bad location anywhere in the resort.

The only type of room service there is at the CBR is mousekeeping and they just clean the room every day. I think there may be pizza delivery.

Just be sure to make your requests in the order of their priority to you. You can call ahead of time and make the requests and then ask again when you check in.

Six of CBR's buildings are preferred location: Trinidad North 31-32-33 and Martinique 24-25-26.

These are the 6 buildings closest to Old Port Royale. Of these, Martinique 26 and Trinidad North are the very very closest, followed by Martinique 24 and TN 32, and then Martinique 25 and TN 33. No, that's not a typo ... M 24 is slightly closer to OPR than M 25.
