The pulled privacy curtain that separates the bedroom from bathroom/sink/closet area:

Another dresser pic. Fridge is in the area where the door is open:

Couple pics of the safe. My husband has epilepsy and takes a lot of meds. We were able to fit in a PSP, portable DVD player, a set of keys, his meds and a slim wallet:

Hope this helps. I am sure somebody will be posting a link or pics of the pirate themed rooms soon.

Keep trying for the Pirate room, as one may open up for you. As for the water view, given that you want the sand and beach view, don't do it. At Disney, a water view can easily be an obscure view of the village quiet pool, or it can be a beautiful view of the lake -- but no guarantee which. If you find an available Pirate Room, no matter where you are in that village (Trinidad South) you won't be far from the sand and beach, and you may end up with a view of the lake as well. Have fun!!

Thank you so much for your advice. When I booked my dates only the water view was available. And I figured this way if I am able to change to pirate I won't have to do any more math for the price! When I do my room request maybe I will just ask to be near Martinque - it looks really nice. And if we end up looking at a swimming pool - I know my kids won't complain!
I looked and your pictures - they were great- thanks for sharing.

I was just looking at the POP review thread, and the poster mentioned that it was very loud and they needed a white-noise machine.

Is this something I should bring to CBR?

Also - if I have a room request, when should I submit it? Thanks!

We've stayed at the CBR on three occasions and during each visit the resort was booked to capacity. In all honesty, we never had a problem with room/neighbor noise.

We returned from a week long stay at CBR on 3/2/09 and one of the things I kept remarking to my husband about was how quiet it was. We had neighbors on both sides of us and above, and never heard them. It was so wonderful to return to such a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere after such a busy day in the parks. I wouldn't waste packing space on a white noise machine if you're staying at CBR.

We've never had a problem with noise at CBR. Very peaceful and quite! :cloud9:

Thanks so much for posting the picture of the stuff in the safe. I have never seen a safe that small before in my life :rotfl2: but its great to know what is and isn't going to fit in it.

I'm getting way to excited with less than 2 months to go!!!

Glad you enjoyed your CBR stay. We love it there!

Remind me:
Do all villages have playgrounds?
What about hammocks?

:)

Uh, maybe I should check the map. DUH. Figured out the playground!

There is a playground on the Jamaica beach and one on the Barbados beach. Every village has a beach with hammocks on it.

We haven't either and we've stayed twice, once in North Trinidad and once in Martinique. We've had 1st floor and 2nd floor neither was quieter than the other, they were both the same.

Might you be placed in a Preferred Room even if you didn't book it? In other words, could you get lucky and end up in one if it's a slow time?

We had never been in August and we were pleasantly surprised. The temperature wasn't too hot and it rained a bit on and off. The crowds weren't bad either. That being said, we usually go the last week of May through the first week of June. The crowds then are pretty thick. I have some August crowd pics somewhere. I'll try and find them and pm them to you.

Thank you, that would be very much appreicated. Was the pool ever packed in August? IF we go ahead with this trip it will be a Mommy & Me,so it's me keeping a hawkeye on DD (usually it me , DH and My Mom: :)

Hi, We just booked the CBR for August for a 4 day girls weekend.. We have a pirate room booked. can someone please tell me which building (village) the pirate rooms are located in?
thanks so much!

I just booked CBR last night -- this is our second trip to Disney (first was July 2007) and our first stay at CBR. It didn't even occur to me to ask about standard vs. preferred rooms (I was in a hurry on the phone last night and got distracted).

What is the price difference? Are the preferred rooms all in certain buildings/villages? Is it worth it to get a preferred room over a standard room? We did at POP and I was glad we did -- closer to the pool, food court, and buses (although nothing at POP is terribly far from those things, LOL).

I need to call back to change my parents' room from two double beds to a king bed, and want to make my room requests at the same time. Am I correct that king bed is $25 more per night than two double beds?

Any info on preferred vs. standard and which village/buildings I should request would be great! We want to be near the bus stops but also the pools because my girls spend tons of time in the pools. We'll be visiting all of the parks plus one of the water parks.

Thanks!

The preferred rooms are in Trinidad North and Martinique. If you want to be close to the main pool and food court then yes the preferred rooms are great.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the villages but many here like Jamaica or Aruba.

You're welcome. The safe held more than I thought it would but, as you can see, I had to position everything just right. It's definitely not very deep.
