Are there DVD players on the TV's at CBR these days?
I was hoping with the renovated Pirate Rooms, there may be.
Am I in luck?

does anybody know if there are roll-away beds available here?? also, if they are, do you rent them or not? just trying to plan my budget!

  I wish I would have known that before I booked the Pirate Themed Rooms. What are we paying a premium for these rooms when they are the furthest from the pool and food court. Trinidad South, they can't put them any further away that that. I'm really bumbed now as I don't want to have to jump in the rental and drive to the food court and big pool. Should have just booked a preferred instead. Wish I would have done more research on the location of the Pirate rooms before I booked. Just saw the pics and thought it would be neat.

I wouldn't be too worried if I were you. I timed the walk from Trinidad South to Old Port Royale and it took only 6 1/2 minutes. And that was at a leisurely pace.

First question: Are there hairdryers in the dressing area?

Second: Can you see Illuminations at Epcot from CBR?

Yes to both questions. The hair dryer is your typical hotel hair dryer that doesn't blow a lot of air.

First: Yes, there are hairdryers in the rooms. I believe there is a picture of one in my trip report pictures.

Second: Yes, you can see the higher Illuminations fireworks from many areas at the CBR. We have watched them from Martinique, Jamaica and Old Port Royale.

I love this thread! We are staying at CBR for two nights in October for Race for the Taste, and all my questions have been answered. :thumbsup2 I am very excited because the only resorts I've stayed at in the last ten years were values, as I was in college and that was all we could afford for spring break :lmao: and then Husband and I moved to Central Florida and usually take day trips. I'm totally geeked to stay at CBR!

Could someone tell me what, if any, height restrictions there are on the big slide at CBR. My 4 yo is going to want to try it I know, but he's only 40 inches.

When we were there last month, there were LOTS of little kids using the slide and I'm sure several were under 40" tall -- yes, I used it too :) -- and I don't recall seeing any signage for the slide itself. This sign was posted near the entrance to the pool with the "Pool Rules" on it (note the supervision for children under 12):

Have a great time at CBR -- it's our favorite resort!:cool1:

Thanks for the link for the pirate rooms. Dh wanted to see them. I don't really want to spend the extra 200.00 on a pirate room. I would rather spend it on a perfered room. But there are no perferd rooms available for our free dining pin left. So we will see what we are going to do.

:thumbsup2 Great! thanks for the info about the slide!

Another question - can you go into the food court with just your swimsuit and a towel (to refill your mug?)

Many people just walk into the food court in their swim suits. We were also guilty at times!
