Does anyone know the bus routes at CBR?
That is, what order do the resort buses hit the villages?
And if we're staying at Trinidad in the Pirates rooms, will there be room on the bus by the time it gets to us?
Or should we hike to the main building and catch the bus from there?

Will be leaving tomorrow, 7-10-09, for Disneyworld! Will make the trip there in 2 days arriving on Saturday. So excited! Will take lots of pictures of Carribean Beach Resort. If anyone wants a special picture, just let me know and I'll do my best to take it and post when we get back. (If I can figure out how to post a picture.:confused3) See ya!

Have a great time! Any pictures would be great!

Buses to/from Magic Kingdom and to/from Downtown Disney start at Martinique, and then go clockwise to Old Port Royale, Trinidad North, Trinidad South, Jamaica, Aruba, and finally Barbados before going to the destination.

Buses to from Epcot, to/from Disney's Hollywood Studios and to/from Animal Kingdom start at Jamaica, and then go clockwise to Aruba, Barbados, Martinique, OPR, Trinidad North, and finally Trinidad South before going to the destination.

T-Minus 5 days and counting:cool1::cool1::cool1:

We will be at CBR from 7/15 to 7/23 for 9 days of Disney Park Hopping Water Parks and More Fun!!!!! :dance3:

We have stayed at ASMusic and POFQ and enjoyed both. This will be our first time at CBR and looking forward to it. We are booked for the Pirate Rooms. My question is are there Pirate themed rooms close to the Food Court as this was one of my requests on our reservation.

Does anyone know which sections the Pirate Rooms are located in?

I am so jealous that you're at just 5 days. I still have 27.

The pirate rooms are located in the buildings in Trinidad South.

We are also checking into a Pirate room on 7/15. As was mentioned the Pirate rooms are in Trinidad South and I believe it is about a 5-10 minute walk to the food court, or you can take an internal shuttle. We will have a car and probably drive.

  I wish I would have known that before I booked the Pirate Themed Rooms. What are we paying a premium for these rooms when they are the furthest from the pool and food court. Trinidad South, they can't put them any further away that that. I'm really bumbed now as I don't want to have to jump in the rental and drive to the food court and big pool. Should have just booked a preferred instead. Wish I would have done more research on the location of the Pirate rooms before I booked. Just saw the pics and thought it would be neat.

They are the newest remodeled rooms at the resort, so that is a plus. :thumbsup2 Any day at Disney is a better than a day at work anyway.

Maybe we will see you there!

After we finish at Disney it over to US/IOA and 6 Days at HRH and FOTL passes :goodvibes

Can't complain too much, between Disney and Universal we got 5 free days/nights with the promos they were running. And add the stellar Air Fare on Southwest! Can't Wait......

While it's true that CBR is across the street from Epcot, it's across the street from the back of World Showcase, so it's not like you can just enter Epcot back there (and no, it's nowhere near the International Gateway, either).

If you were in Aruba 56, the CBR building closest to Epcot, you could walk across the parking lot and the access road, walk across the grass to the edge of the resort, cross Buena Vista Drive, walk across a field and a marsh, climb a chain-link fence with barbed wire on top, walk through the minefield and the alligator-infested swamp, scale a 20-foot wall, and then if the sharpshooters don't pick you off, you'll find youself backstage between Italy and Germany in World Showcase. :happytv:

That was cute!!

So are the buses full first thing in the morning before they finish their route around the CBR?
That is, since we're the last stop to get to EPCOT and DHS, will buses show up full making us wait another 15 minutes in the morning?

 We've stayed at CBR 5 times and never had an issue with buses. I don't think anyone can answer your question because there is no way to know on any given morning. If you are not at CBR now, then perhaps you will not be in Barbados.

Please try not to worry about the buses - a vacation should be stress free and you sound stressed before you've even arrived.

CBR is a wonderfully tropical and relaxing resort. I hope your visit is terrific! :goodvibes

Is Martinique 25 considered a preferred location....or standard?

Yes,that's right, Martinique 25 is a preferred location. Happy planning! :goodvibes

Thanks for the response.
But I'm not stressed - just trying to plan accordingly.
We'll be going 10/30-11/4 and staying at the Pirate Rooms in Trinidad South.
And we're "rope drop" kind of people.
So I basically just wanted a idea of how early to be out waiting for the buses.

Got it! So you won't even be in Barbados.

We're rope drop too (never missed one since 1981). Other than Halloween being body to body in the MK, it is a great time of year - one of our favorite times to visit. Lower crowds, still festive, weather can be cool mornings and late evenings, but mid 70's during the day. Most mornings we needed a light sweatshirt (that was coming from Boston).

Just be sure you are out there in time for the first buses - usually more buses come around to accommodate park opening. :thumbsup2

It's not that big of a deal. We were there last month in building 38 (Trinadad South, Pirate Waterview Room) and the walk was very pleasant. CBR is such a beautiful resort that the 7 minute (we timed it) walk was nice. You can always take the internal bus to Port Royale but we thought it took longer.

If you are really bummed, call and see if you can switch from pirate to Martinique preferred. I am pretty sure (someone will correct me if I'm wrong) pirate rooms are the same price category as preferred. Can't hurt to ask.

Does anybody have the fax number for CBR? I did online checkin but could not add any requests......we really would like connecting rooms - I thought maybe I should send a fax to the resort. I did request that when I booked. Any thoughts?

I can't find the operation updates on the Disney.com. Does anyone know if anything will be closed Aug.23- 29th? Thanks!!

If it's noted on your reservation, then there's no need to send a fax.
