My son's favorite Eeyore was stollen out of our stroller while we were on vacation at Animal Kingdom! It was an old one and was his favorite to sleep with! He cried for it the whole rest of our vacation! I now have to search for a new one. He doesn't like the disney store ones. It's the light blue looking ones....ugh. The search for Eeyor "Guy" continues....

I also had a woman almost sat on my ds! Please watch were you sit!!! Also watch when you walk backwards to take a picture! My son was almost trampled at Chef Mickey's too!

I had a woman almost trample us just trying to get off the boat from WL to MK....did it really save her that much time....we weren't even walking slowly!

I just can't believe the nerve of some people!

It may not have been malicious. Probably another youngster who didn't know any better grabbed it when his own parents weren't looking. Even if they realized it 5 seconds later, it would be impossible for them to figure out where he got it.

Breaks my heart for your child, and yes, we've been smashed into by other guest too. I'm curious about your theft at AK. I remember seeing posts in the past about things swiped out of strollers when parked for the Lion King show/Pocahontis show. Is this where your theft occurred?

Just curious. Did you check with Lost and Found? They might have it or it might have been turned in by someone. Worth a shot.

Personally, I think the worst thieves are the birds!!! I've literally seen birds steal stuff out of carriages. Make sure your things are secured, covered, tied down. Some birds stole a bathing suit top from the Poly and we never got it back. Now I wonder what in the world they wanted with it. Probably to make a dual nest or something. ;)

I am so sorry to hear about your son's missing Eeyore. I've lost sentimental belongings before, and I have cried for days as well, especially if they were stolen.

But if you haven't checked with Lost and Found, you probably should still give it a try. You never know.

I apology on behalf of all of "us" who walk backwards...I am the WORST at it.My kids are always getting on to me for "bumping" into folks. I can honestly say, when I'm taking a picture,I'm in another zone.I do this all the time. I bump into folks w/ my grocery cart,in stores...It's very inconsiderate, and I apologize from all of us. I really am trying to be more mindful of this.

Oh No your poor son! My dd would be crused without her tweety blankey. This theft worries me as we usually carry cameras, etc with us and leave everything in the stroller. probably not a good idea

Yep, I checked w/ lost & found and nothing so far. If my child took something by accident, I would turn it into lost and found. My son took suckers by accident in downtown disney and we returned them to the store. I think the Eeyore was taken when we went on Kali River Rapids...I think. We had put it in the stroller thinking nothing of it. We took our backpack always with us that had valuables in it. We left one backpack that just had jackets in the stroller and it was fine. There was a very very honest man that did turn in my wallet on a string. I had left it on Kali River Ride and he turned it in! You need to make sure you don't forget to get things out of the waterproof bin in the middle of the ride! We remembered our backpack, but not my wallet! Thank Goodness for his honesty! We had meal vouchers, CC, Debit Card, Drivers license, etc! It might have been tough to get on the plane! Thank goodness for honesty & kindness too! We talked to another family and they had their things they bought from MK stollen! I would watch your Disney bags closely! There were a lot of people at Animal Kingdom reporting lost items!

Sorry to hear this. We've never had anything stolen at Disney, but I'm careful about what I leave behind and don't bring sentimemtal things into the park for the day. Maybe its a case of Murphy's law. I have found many people who push/ shove it can be really obnoxious. Their are also line cutters. Then there are the strollers. As a non-stroller person, I've been rammed many times. As a stroller person, I find that many people were down right obnoxious about thinking that they had the right of way over a stroller and rudely run right in front of me.

Try poking around on the web. I didn't save the URL, but I found an interesting site the other day that had all kinds of out of stock Disney stuff for sale.

One more thing, years ago, I lost a purse in the MK - it was returned with all its money and everything. I was floored. Not everyone is a thief!

Are you sure it just didn't fall out somewhere and you didn't notice it? I can't believe someone would take an old Eeyore that has belonged to a child.

As with the other posters, I'm sorry to hear this as well. My daughter has had a bear since she was a baby. She brought it with her into the mall this past summer and lost it.
Thankfully, it was returned to the lost and found there. Unfortunately, we tell her now that because bear is so important to her that he cannot leave the house. So he stays on her bed.

That may or may not be possible with your son when you find a replacement, but how about putting one of those leashes on it and have the other end attached to your son's wrist? That way if he drops it, it's always attached to him?

my son's blankee was swiped at Busch Gardens a couple years ago! I know how you feel. We searched frantically for it for over an hour before finding it (not where we left it) apparently someones kid took it and they brought it back to the general location. We were lucky I guess. I hope your priceless possessions turn up too :guilty: :earseek:

Me, too. I am always bumping into others, and I suppose I get in my own world. I do always, always apologize when it happens and really mean it!

Under no circumstances would I ever leave my camera or anything of value (or sentiment) behind. Unfortunately, we've all got to be mindful that even though we're having fun at WDW there are still people out to take advantage of the busy tourists. Over the years, working in NYC has taught me to be very attentive of my surroundings specially when there are a lot of crowds and specially tourists, it becomes a haven for pick-pockets and common thieves. So sorry to hear that it even happens in the Happiest Place on Earth! :sad2:

Do you have a picture of your son's Eeyore. I have several that are no longer in use (boohoo!!!) and would gladly pass it on to someone more deserving than my 17 year daughter who is now too cool for stuffded aminals (our family word!).
