Where do you buy your cards from these days?

I used to do Hallmark then they got way too expensive. For a while I was doing Hallmark from Walmart but the store I went to was cleared out of cards, I tried Trader Joes but the Thank You cards were oddball so what is left, am I crafting my cards now?

I usually pick up a box of assorted fancy paper craft cards from Costco every year which covers most occasions.

I buy them from the grocery store. The only people I give cards to are my immediate family members so I don't need to buy a pack of them.

Still a Hallmark fan here! But as a kid I watched all the commercials that said "When you care enough to send the very best". My friends knew that of me so if I don't send a Hallmark card they have joked that they don't rank highly anymore or proactively, I apologize in advance that I just couldn't find the right Hallmark card or wasn't near a store that had them. I had friends growing up that would cross out the brand and price on the backs of cards as I used to look (ok, still do....) and they'd write "stop looking here!" Now I feel awful if I don't have the gold seal to go with the Hallmark card too. I've made a mess of my life now with this high standard I can't let go.

They seem like a supreme waste of money to me but many people seem to think they serve a useful purpose.

Well, girls like them. I just got back from buying my Halloween cards for my favorite girl friends and son. Otherwise I don't think guys care. But it is so special getting a card in the mail that someone took the time to pick out for you!

I'm a 'card guy' I guess. I like giving great cards to great people. Mostly my family, plus a few others. I almost always get Hallmark. There is a difference. Expensive? Yes. But worth it to me.

I'm not near any Hallmark stores, but if I was I'd go in there. I usually just pop into the Walgreens or Target.

My favorite place lately is actually a garden/pet supply place. - They have the cutest cards with animal photos on them!

All the grocery stores here still have a greeting card section, including Walmart. CVS and Walgreens have much bigger sections.

Must be. My wife had a colonoscopy last week and got a Get Well card from the Hospital nursing team signed by the two nurses who actually treated her.
My Financial Planner sends out cards for major holidays and all his clients birthdays. They all feature photos he or his children have taken of things in nature. I'm trying to get him to put a GoPro on his dog and use one of the dog's photos! Of course, at 66 my wife and I are on the young end of spectrum as far as his clients. He says about a quarter of his clients don't do ANYTHING online, including e-mail. Although his oldest client is 95 and is apparently a computer geek!

Also, kids like mail. I send a card about once a month to my niece and nephew. I find cards at the dollar store for the most random holidays. They love getting mail and it's a cheap/fun way to let them know I'm thinking about them.

Our dollar tree has lots of Hallmark cards. I don’t send a lot of cards but still send some.

I still remember when we had a special holder for Christmas cards back in the days before the internet and cell phones. Now I only give cards for weddings and showers. I get them from Walgreen's or CVS, or Dollar Tree. I used to make all of my mother's birthday and Mothers Day cards. I miss doing that.
