car seat with magical express?

I scanned through and didn't see a thread about this, forgive me if it's been answered a zillion times already.

I booked a seat for my daughter on our flight so she can use her carseat. But we don't plan to rent a car, we're just going to take the shuttle and use the WDW transportation for the week.

I know she can't use her carseat once at WDW, but someone said they were able to use it on the way from the airport to WDW. Is that correct?

If we can't use it, can we at least bring it on the bus with us so it's not getting banged around with all the luggage?

No, it can't be used on the DME bus (no way to fasten it) and no, it can't be brought into the passenger compartment of the bus (no where to stow it).

You could have the bus driver put it under the bus on top of the luggage. The seat could be left with bell services till your room is ready. This way it's not with all the Magical Express luggage that's put in a truck.

I'd bring it along and have the driver store it under the bus for the ride.

You won't be able to use it on the bus. The buses don't have seat belts.

How old is your daughter....? I read about (and then ordered) the CARES system for kids for our trip last week....it's a harness system that utilizes the airline seat and buckle and buckles the child in like in their carseat. I really liked it and as long as I'm not renting a car (using ME) it is what I will be using for future flights.

Of course, I can't say how it will be on your bus, but we've taken ME 4 times with DD's carseat stowed below. Every bus we've riden on didn't have a lot of baggage stored underneath (more on the way to the airport than on the way to WDW). Maybe a couple of passenger's suitcase, but mostly just oversized carry on's and strollers. I think most people use the baggage service on the way to WDW and the buses we've been on to get back to the airport have never even been half full.
