My family has gone to WDW numerous times, but taking a car seat with us has ALWAYS been a fight between me and DW. She never wants to bring onr, and I don't mind lugging one onto the plane and using it during the flight and then in the rental car. Now DS is using a booster which won't be allowed to be used on the plane. What would , or do, you do?

Pack a booster?
Carry-on and stow a booster?
Rent a booster?
Live dangerously and go without a booster?

If you rent one, is there one car company that does it cheaper, or even free?

Once DS was old enough for a booster, we just took a backless one and packed it in the duffle bag. Pretty easy and painless.

My son has a backless booster, easy to stow on the airplane, and it often fits in my mothers carry on bag.

Can hardly wait until my twins are in boosters. We rent their carseats when we go, because it's a pain in the rear to get their carseats out of our car, and then carry two car seats through the airport along with three kids and tons of stuff is not our favourite way to start our vacation.

I know of no car rental agency that will rent a booster for free. Any rental place I've looked into has always had a fee.

I've never rented a car on vacation with our kids, but if we ever do I would NEVER choose to live dangerously and go without a booster in a car.

I would pack one, get a duffle bag to put it in and then you can throw all your dirty clothes in it on the way home. You will need room in your suitcases for souiverners;)

If you can carry it, bring it to the plane with you. It is not uncommon to have luggage missing or damaged.

Your response have helped me decide to forego the free booster offered by Hertz through AAA and bring our own. We are used to having DS use his carseat during the flight from NJ to MCO, but this time, I think we will just pack his new booster. :drive:
