Car Rental - WWYD?

I have a minivan rented for our stay in October from both Thrifty and Budget (Through carrentalsavers.com)

The Budget price is about 80.00 less for the week than Thrifty.

I was checking prices again today and I notice that Budget does not have any minivans available for this time frame while Thrifty still does.

My only concern is that we land at MCO at 11pm and it will be late getting the van. Will there be a van for us at budget? Will the van be the last one and may not be the best?

I don't want any hassles that late, since we have to drive to WH and want to be at the parks early Sat AM.

Should I stick with Budget or spend the extra and go with Thrifty?

I would make both reservations, doesn't cost anything. That way if you have any trouble with Budget and can't get the van you have Thifty to fall back on.
You don't need that hassle at midnight.
I might even have another backup just in case.

I have the 2 reservations. You're saying not to cancel one of them to have a backup?

Yep, keep them both, and maybe add another one for a price you can live with. You don't want to be stuck in the airport at midnight and not have the car you want.
Better to be safe than sorry.

Although I understand your concern about not having a minivan for your rental because the location is showing sold out, I would not encourage you to book more then one rental. It is correct that most places do not charge cancellation fees, but holding more then one rental is a problem. This impacts the rental utilization of the rental agencies and results in higher costs for everyone as well as incorrect inventory display (ie. a location showing sold out when there are multiple bookings).
