I found an excellent deal on a rental with Expedia. It is paid in full up front and says the taxes and fees are included but it also says there may be other fees due upon picking up the car. What might I have to pay in addition to what I'd be paying Expedia???

I usually just book on the rental company sites so this is new to me but the price from Expedia is about half of what the other sites are showing.

Thanks for any and all help :goodvibes

I did the same thing for a trip from Phoenix AZ. The rate was so good that I even called expedia after I booked it to make sure that taxes and fees are included.

I looked up the res on expedia and the only thing that appears to be charged is a $21 fee. I saved my screen print when booking that shows all taxes and fees are included!

Did you already use that car??? I'm looking to find out what extra need to be paid at the counter, if any.

I certainly don't mind a $21 fee....heck the rental sites want double plus another $100 for the same type of car and length of rental.

Don't use it until June 2011 ....

I know ... I was nervous about this not covering the taxes and fees, but I called to make sure.

Anyone else????? Has anyone booked and already picked up a car that was booked via Expedia????

I'm super curious to know if there are any extra fees to be paid at the counter. This deal is just sooooo good for the week that we will be there.

I think that's sort of standard thing Expedia puts up because some companies might charge extras while others might not.

I know they do this for flights, in regards to checked bagaged for example.

Can you call the company and double check?

I guess I could call the company.....it's Dollar or Budget the price difference is only about 10 cents between the 2. Do you think they could tell me even if I have not made the reservation???? I can't tell if it's refundable or not....I'm going with the assumption that it is not. So with that in mind I want to know everything before I book.

Fees can be fees outside their control. For instance, if MCO decides to expand and implement a fee that renters must pay, Expedia, nor the car rental company will eat the cost, you will.

Other fees can be ones you elect, such as insurance or pre-paid/post-paid fuel.

So if Expedia says that all taxes and fees are included I shouldn't expect to pay anything extra other than things like you have mentioned???? I'm just feeling like the rate is too good to be true....not that it's a huge bargain but compaired to everything else that I have seen, it is.
