Car Rental return at Dolphin

DH & I are thinking about renting a car from Nationl for one day when we arrive.... rent at MCO (Saturday) and return to the Dolphin Hotel either the next day (Sunday) OR return it late Saturday night if there's an after hours drop off. This would be less expensive than a taxi and would give us a car to get groceries, etc the first night.

Anyone have any experience doing this? How's the facility at the Dolphin?

I believe the hours at the Dolphin are 8am to 4pm 7 days a week. You can leave keys at valet after hours.

We did it our last trip and we are doing it again this trip. We stayed at the Boardwalk. We stopped at the store, checked into the hotel and then returned the car. After we returned the car we took the bus to the park. It only took about 5 minutes to drop off the car.

Returning the car to the Dolphin is easy. Regardless of the time you just take the car back to the valet station (this is the same place you pick it up from). Tell them it's a car rental return and they'll give you a reciept with the time saying when you've returned it.

Thanks everyone... this is just what we needed to know. So glad to hear that you get a receipt from valet if returning after hours.. that was a big concern to us - now we know and will book this.
