Car rental prices

Ok, so I checked into rental prices and noticed that 8 day rental fee was like $100 CHEAPER than 7 day. :scared1: What is up with that? Can I book an 8 day and turn it in early??? Anyone ever dealt this kind of situation before?:confused3 TIA!
