Car rental from Tampa...

We're taking a quick trip to Tampa in December to see DMIL. I've tried several codes and none seem to be working. We need a midsize, onsite, from 8:00 am 12/17 to 9:00 pm 12/20. Right now the best I can get is Dollar for $150.40 through carrentalsavers.com. Do you think I can do any better?~~

I'm matching 150.40. My advice is to check frequently. You'd be surprised how much the rates fluctuate.

try budget or alamo with codes listed here or on mousesavers, their rates were the lowest i found before we switched to flight out of MCO. Re coupons, perhaps one of the upgrade or free day ones floating about would work for you, good luck

Agree with PP.

My approach: Book now if you want the peace of mind that you at least have a car, but keep checking. We originally booked Alamo for $135 for a midsize Columbus weekend (that was even with a code from Mousesavers). Four days before the trip I checked Alamo's website for new "last minute" codes. We paid $70 in the end. Just applied the new code to the original ressie.

I have a van from Tampa for this week for $176. I used different codes from Mousesavers. We use Dollar.
