We are driving to WDW & so will have a car for the first time. I think I finally have our DHS day (Sun March 15th) straightened out after scoring a pre-park open H&V and re-arranging our FPs.

This is what our day looks like...

8:05 H&V
9:35 ToT FP+
10:50 Star Tours FP+
11:55 TSMM FP+
1:25 Mama Melrose Fantasmic! Lunch

We are driving in the AM and are returning to POR right after lunch, looking to return around 6:30/7:00pm.

Two questions...
1. Car or bus on the return trip?

2. DHS looks pretty close to POR. How much travel time between the 2 (I am worried about getting lost LOL!)?

TIA!!

I pick car. It's a quick trip and leaving in the evening after Fantasmic! lets out can be a pain by bus.

I'd also consider moving your TOT and Star Tours FP's for when you return (for the same or different attractions). TOT will be a walk-on that early and Star Tours nearly so.

Car definitely. We stay at POFQ and the drive from DHS is minimal.

Definitely drive on the return trip. If anything, I would consider a bus in the morning then the parking lots are more crowded.

We will be at HS that exact day with almost the exact schedule and also have a rental car this time (usually rely solely on the buses) I am definitely driving to HS that day. Most of the times we've waited for more than 20 minutes for a bus has been in that hour before the park opens. We plan on riding RNR and TOT standby as soon as the park opens so HAVE to be there on time.

I vote car as well. The mass exodus after F! Can pack a bus in no time!

Thanks everyone. Car it is!

I will only go to DHS with a car. The buses there from any resort I stayed at was too long of a wait. The two absolute worst were POR and the GF.
