Car hire Universal to WDW

Hi - we I want to hire a car for one day to take us from Cabana Bay (Universal) to WDW as we want to do a side trip to the Dali Museum and will have luggage etc.

Only problem is it looks like Universal uses Hertz but WDW doesn't have a Hertz office. Can you suggest the cheapest and easiest way to do this? The aussie dollar is pretty poor against the USD so your advice is appreciated

Enterprise? They pick you up and, I would think, drop you off. Or there's got to be a Hertz location close to Disney. Check the Hertz site for Lake Buena Vista.

The only true 'on-site' car rental company at WDW is Alamo/National. There are other companies with offices in the Disney Springs area in the resorts. For instance, Budget is a the Double Tree.

Alamo/National can be returned at the four points Sheraton nearby. It's actually walking distance from Uni (we did it) but it's a more pleasant $10 cab ride.

That's a bit of a long side-trip, LOL. St. Pete is a wonderful city these days, have fun visiting, but give yourselves a bit of time to get there and back; traffic on I-275 through Tampa can be hairy. (The construction project is supposed to finish by the fall; it's been underway for 4 years.)
