Which car rental location is better for National/Alamo? Which rental
company is better at each location? Is selection any different? I am an Emerald Club member and an Alamo Insiders member. Would that help at either location for car selection? (I know they don't have an Emerald Aisle at either one.)

I know at the CCC you don't get to pick they assign the cars to you. . take a look because the price some times is different for each location.

Advantages of Alamo/National at Walt Disney World Car Care Center
Longer hours at CCC
Hours at CCC:
Sun: 06:00 am to 06:00 pm
Mon-Fri: 06:00 am to 08:00 pm
Sat: 06:00 am to 06:00 pm
Hours at Dolphin:
Sun: 08:00 am to 04:00 pm
Mon-Fri: 08:00 am to 04:00 pm
Sat: 08:00 am to 04:00 pm
Courtesy shuttle service

Advantages of Alamo/National at Disney Dolphin Resort
After-hours return at valet parking
Walk to/from resorts around Crescent Lake near Epcot
Walk or boat to/from Epcot and DHS
WDW bus service at Dolphin to/from MK, DtD, and DAK

Personal Experience
Rented numerous times from National at Dolphin.
Alamo/National desk at Dolphin friendly and accommodating (offered several different cars when renting).
Car pickup and return at Dolphin valet parking is different than at typical car rental locations, but works well.
Car inventory is shared between Dolphin and CCC.
Never rented at CCC.

Two other Alamo/National locations on-site at WDW
Shades of Green Resort
Buena Vista Palace Hotel

If I don't use the airport rental, I used the CCC. I was p/u from Epcot as the family went in. They bring the car around, let me heck it and if I would like another, they would replace it. When I wanted it an extra day, the week rate was only $3 more. When I dropped it off, I got a ride back to the park.

The person assisting me showed me he lights, gas tank release, wipers, radio, gizmos and gadgets galore before I took off.

I've always rented a car from the Dolphin and haven't had any problems. As others have said, it's very convenient to pick up and drop off the car. The counter experience has always been fine. The biggest drawbacks are you don't really do a formal walk around the car to pre/post-check for dents/dings. I haven't had any problems in the past and would happily rent from the Dolphin again.

What would be the best if we wanted to:

Fly in Friday and get a rental car.... Stay offsite the go to Seaworld Saturday. Saturday night check into Pop century and turn in the car.

Where you rent ( I would think at the airport) but I want to return the car at disney

I assume you plan to rent with Alamo or National, based on the topic of this thread.

If you plan to return your car on a Saturday at the CCC or the Dolphin, be sure to check the operating hours in my post earlier in this thread.

If you return your car during operating hours, your return time will be the actual time of your return.

If you return your car after hours, your return time will be the time when the office reopens the next morning. Car rentals are normally priced in 24-hour periods, so this could mean paying for a second day if you rented your car at the airport Friday evening.

Also, if you return your car during at the CCC during business hours, an Alamo/National courtesy shuttle will take you back to your resort. After hours, you'll probably have to take a cab.

If you return your car during at the Dolphin during or after business hours, there is no courtesy shuttle, but you can use WDW bus and boat transportation from the Dolphin. Although there's no direct bus service to Pop Century, you can connect at MK, DHS, or DAK (during park operating hours) -- or at DTD until around 2:00 a.m. If you choose to take a cab, the distance (and thus the cab fare) is less from the Dolphin than from the CCC.

We are flying out of Tampa and need to rent a car to get to the airport since we are flying into Orlando-saving a TON of money doing this. We will be at Disney Studios the day before we leave so would it be better to rent the car(even though we will are staying at Wilderness Lodge), at the Dolphin? Also, we need to rent a suv-is their inventory the same as the CCC? We figured we can rent from the Dolphin when we head to lunch at the Boardwalk resort area and then finish out our day at DHS. This is our first time renting so any help you could give is appreciated!
