I'm thinking of trying to book this for Valentine's Day, any feedback?
Also was thinking about Portobello Yacht Club if that was booked, my DB loves ribs so I'm trying to stick to someplace that has them in downtown, we are hoping to catch the comedy show this evening.

We went to Cap-N-Jacks on our honeymoon in 1996. The food and drink were excellent!!! We went back in April 2003 and were not that impressed. For one thing, they took the cheese plate off of the menu. Also, the portions seemed much smaller than the first time we went. The food was still good, but we couldn't justify the amount that we paid for the food we received.

Of the 2 I'd go with Portobella. Much more selection and better quality imho.

5 of us ate dinner at Cap't Jack's back in November and really enjoyed it.

I tried to make a PS there but they don't take PS and I'm sure they will be busy on Valentine's Day I guess I'll try Portobello Yacht

I haven't been to Jack's in a bit, but Portobello has a much larger menu. I like it there a lot!

I strongly advise you to avoid Capt Jack's. It is the worst restaurant in Disney property; and if you don't believe me, do a search and you'll read others' reviews.

We dined there in February. It was jammed. After an hour and fifteen minute wait (no problem; we had drinks) our wonderfully saucy waitress ushered us to our table and said, "If I were you I'd stick to appetizers tonight..." WE should have heeded her advice! My shrimp pasta was covered with orange goo I'm sure the cooks dredged up from Lake Buena Vista. The food was cold. Everything tasted either frozen or old.

Back in the 1970's this used to be a pretty decent restaurant. I suppose if you come mid-afternoon and stick to drinks - or appetizers you know they can't screw up - you'll have a good time. But with so many other good dining options at WDW I'd suggest something else.
