Can anyone who has been there recently tell me about Captin Cooks at breakfast time please? We are thinking about going there instead of Kona on our last day so any info would be very helpful!! Thanks :)

We did this about two weeks ago. Personally, I wouldn't do it again. It was WAY too crowded and chaotic. We wanted to try the Tonga Toast and were on our way to the GF, so figured "why not?" At least we can say we did it.

Anyone? DD wants tonga toast on her last day. Is it really that great? Is there a difference between the tonga toast at Kona and Captain Cooks?

We have had numerous breakfasts at Captain Cook's because we stay at the Poly.

If you get there early, before the major rush, you'll be fine. If you get there at 8:30 or 9:00, it'll be crowded.

Food is standard CS fare except for the Tonga Toast which is the same though cheaper than Kona's version. You can also get Mickey waffles, a breakfast platter (eggs, bacon, potatoes and such), and typical Disney CS breakfast food like muffins, cereal, and the like.

Thanks, that's exactly what I needed to know!

We have stayed at the Poly two years in a row and we eat at Captain Cook's the day we leave. Since we sleep in that morning we go around 9:30 and it isn't that crowded.

The basic eggs and bacon breakfast is okay, certainly generous.

The Tongo Toast is excellent (although no strawberry sauce like Kona) but don't add the syrup they give you as it is already sweet enough.
