Does anyone out there actually like Cap'n Jacks? I thought it would be a good choice for the dining plan but no one seems to like it,please let me know if you have had any recent good meals there.

We (wife and I) went there about 2 months ago and I really just was not that impressed. We love eating and there are just SOOOO many better options for a nice meal than Cpt. Jack's. It'd be ok for a nice light lunch or a frosty adult beverage, but we probably won't go back.

Too many other wonderful things to do.

My feelings exactly. Last year our meal was so bad we spent the entire trip laughing about it (it doesn't help when your waitress warns you, "Stick to appetizers tonight" before you've even ordered). Save the big bucks for someplace else. If you've got your heart set on stopping by, have a drink at the bar.

It's a shame that the only Disney-operated restaurant at DTD is so dreadful.

If you want a quick bite in DTD, try Earl of Sandwich. Me, dh,a nd ds11 all loved it. Quickly got our food. But still felt comfortable sitting in there, to cool off.

Not us. We tried it a few years ago and it was so bad they didn't charge us for the meal since we barely ate it. The seafood was just wrong.
We left and grabbed a burger. Go figure.

OK for a quick drink and a nosh. The view in the afternoons is terrific. Strawberry daiquiris are worth lingering over. For anything more, you would be better off at Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang's.
