Should my troop go to the Playhouse Disney breakfast or travel to Beach Club and have Cape May Character breakfast??

My kids are not as interested in Playhouse Disney characters as they once were. I really wish they would change the characters! JoJo isn't even on anymore!

Anyway, is there a boat from DHS to Beach Club? Is Cape May easy to find??

We really like to do late breakfasts after we've toured the park for a little while.

We never have done the breakfast at H&V (we did dinner, unfortunately, twice). We LOVE the breakfast at Cape May Cafe. It is so cute to see Goofy, Donald nad Minnie in their bathing attire and they truly do spend a lot of time visiting. The food was very good too (it is our second favorite character meal after Crystal Palace).

I would say go with the beach club:thumbsup2
we didnt like anything about H&V.
The Beach club- food & charactors were great!

Ok, so Cape May sounds great! Is it easy to get to from DHS?? How long does it take to get there?

Thanks!

We've been to both character breakfasts and liked them both (see Oct trip report link for pictures of the character meals). I thought the food was slightly better at Cape May Cafe. If you are already in DHS touring that morning, then I would stay inside the park at H&V to save on travel time. You won't have much touring time with a 9am rope drop then having to leave the park to make a 10:30 ADR. If you're going to a late breakfast before touring a park, then I would suggest Cape May since your kids are not into PH Disney characters.

Cape May is easy to find right inside the lobby of the Beach Club hotel.

We ate at Cape Mays and it was great. The kids had a lot of fun with characters. The walk from HS to Beach Club is not very far and way faster than the boat ride.

Cape May is a nice breakfast, but not something I'd travel to or go out of my way for. We dine there when we're staying in the Epcot Resorts area.

I'd go with H&V just since it's in the park. I know JoJo isn't on anymore, but the Song and Dance part of the meal is really cute. My little one is also a HUGE Little Einstein's fan, so we're forced to dine there EVERY trip :rotfl2: Breakfast is much better than lunch!

If you do go to Cape May, the boat ride depends if the boat is at the dock or you have to wait for it. In Nov, we walked to DHS each time from the BWI because the boat was NEVER at the dock. The walk was much quicker than waiting for the boat. The walk was a pleasant 15 min walk. I know the travel time for the boat to go from DHS to Epcot is about 20 mins. So if you see the boat leaving the dock at DHS, walk don't wait for the next one.

Cape May had a great breakfast spread (the best we have had at WDW so far, no Boma breakfast yet), plus decent characters. The Yacht/Beach Club is fantastic, it's our next on our list of places to stay. To me it's a no brainer.....Cape May.

And yes, there is a boat to HS and to Epcot if memory serves me correct.

We loved breakfast at Cape Mays, did it twice on our last trip. Also had breakfast at Hollywood and Vine too and we really didn't enjoy it, no I probably shouldn't say that, it was ok, but we did so many character breakfasts in that one trip (Chef Mickey's, Ohana's, 1900 Park Fare, Crystal Palace, Donald's Safari and Cape Mays) and this was our least favourite, by a long shot. So I would say, do Cape Mays for breakfast, particularly if your children are a bit past those characters.

Cape May. You could also take a cab to the BC that morning too, then when you're done you could either do DHS or EPCOT.
