Looking for some feedback on the "clam bake" dinner... What other kinds of foods are there?

This was our favorite "surprise" dinner of the trip (ie- the one we didn't make a PS for and went to spontaneously). I already have a PS for it for our upcoming trip in Oct. Anyway, these were some of the foods they had when we went:

Clams
Mussels
Salmon
Corn
Clam Chowder
All sorts of salads & fresh veggies- cole slaw, pasta salad, potato, carrot sticks, green salad, melons, jello, etc
Ribs (pork spareribs---they were very good)
Roasted Chicken
Steamed veggies (I believe it was several types of squash- so good!)
Rice
Red Potatoes
Some sort of pasta with shrimp in it I believe
A beef stir fry
Prime Rib at the carving station
Chicken strips, deep fried fish "chunks," mac and cheese and mini hot dogs at the "kid station" (Anyone can grab food from it- and kids can eat any of the adult food as well

And then there were the desserts. OMG, what a dessert bar! Key Lime pie, cheesecake, chocolate cake, apple crumble with whipped cream, carrot cake, a couple other torts or pies, huge beautiful cookies, donuts, plus salt water taffy strewn everywhere. It was marvelous.

The shrimp and clams are served with a flavoring but can also be served plain. The shrimp is warm but you can get it cold, also.

Our family really enjoys this buffet. There is something for everyone.

We've also had BBQ ribs and marinated chicken and these divine cooked green beans! This was just 3 weeks ago.

This is definitely one of those places where everyone can be satisfied.

Hi this is our favorite restaurant. I was there with DD on June 10 and as always enjoyed it. The dessert bar was much smaller and they have put in a prime rib station. Now I sort of rushed this dinner as DD is only two and going around a buffett with her on my hip was interesting. But the service as always excellent and they brought out this chocolate desert for K since it was her birthday. The best lemonade on property. We are always very happy, happy folks when we dine here. Oh God can you tell I'm dieting at the moment and dreaming of this restaurant.

Is it New England style clam chowder and was it peel and eat shrimp?

I believe it was peel and eat shrimp, but I didn't eat any so I don't know....I just remember my husband saying something like "If I didn't have to peel these, I would eat more..." But maybe that was when we were at Chef Mickey's?? It's all a blur.. the chowder was the white, creamy kind with potatoes and lots of clams. My DH, who LOVES Clam Chowder said it was some of the best he's had- not loaded with potatoes he said, lots of clams.
