Right now I have PSD booked for breakfast for our anniversary. But Im having doubts. First off, seems like A LOT of money for the type of food you get. I wouldnt have a problem paying $70 for a dinner, but breakfast? Not when I can go to a buffet somewhere else, pay less and get more food. And second, DH doesnt seem interested. He wants me to keep it because it will make me happy, but I dont want him to be miserable either. Soooo, I was looking at the menu's and came across Cape May Cafe. Now we havent been to either - CMC or PSD. 3 main reasons why I booked PSD - 1 - To get pics of WS with no people in the way. 2 - To see the princesses and 3 - because we havent eaten there before. However, if we do Cape May Cafe for breakfast, its still a character meal, its cheaper, lot more food to choose from and we can take a nice romantic boat ride over to the beach club. We havent been to those resorts over by Epcot, so this would also give us a great opportunity to do some resort hopping over there and check out the Epcot resorts as well after breakfast. However, the only 2 draw backs I have for cape may cafe is 1 - all the characters we will see at cape may cafe except for chip and dale, we will see at other meals and 2 - we will have to try our hardest to meet the princesses in toontown 1st thing in the morning, so we wont have to wait FOREVER in line. Here's our other character meals so you can compare:

Donalds (Tusker House) - breakfast
Crystal Palace - breakfast
Ohana - breakfast
LTT - dinner
CRT - dinner - I know not really a character meal, but at least we will still get to see my fav. princess, Cinderella

Now a couple questions.
1 - what time does the boats from Epcot start running to the epcot resorts? If we wanted to do like a 10am breakfast and left Epcot say around 9:15am to get on the boat, will we be able to get on the boat since WS doesnt open until 11am? Or should we just get to Epcot and then take a bus to the beach club? Or since we are staying at AKL, take a bus to AK and then from there take a bus to the beach club?

2 - Which has better food?

3 - Overall, after reading everything, which would you do?

I would definitely pick CMC!!! We love it!!! DD16 thinks that's the only place she can eat breakfast because she loves the variety!

For your other questions. Yes, you can take the boat to BC from Epcot as early as about 8:30 that I know of or you can take the short walk to BC. It's not much closer to take the boat than to walk and it is a great walkway. The International Gateway opens at the same time as the front entrance to Epcot so it will be easy for you to get out that way. Robo has a great map (hint, hint!!) that shows the layout. With all this said, I would take the bus to Epcot from AKL, then walk to BC for breakfast at CMC. YUM!!!! Wishing I was there now!!!

Just to note - there is no bus from Epcot to BC. Access is thru the International Gate. It is not worth taking a boat from IG to BC, it is much faster to walk. While World Showcase is closed until 11:00, you can walk thru by Canada and UK to get there. BC is the first thing you will reach upon leaving Epcot IG, just a few minutes walk. Walking from Future World might be about 10 minutes. So you have plenty of time to arrive at Epcot from AKL, maybe do a no line thing in FW and walk over to your 10:00 at CMC. Very good choice.

Well we are doing BOTH!!! So I am not the best judge - but I will be able to tell you in a few days!!! We are going to do the PSB basically for my daughter whom is a princess-aholic... and the Cape May Buffet just sounds sooo yummy - to be able to get pics with most if not all of her fave princesses will be worth its wait in gold to us and a dream-come true from our DD4.... if you are worried about priceing thats one thing but for us we are going all out... plus it helps we went with the Dulx Dining Plan so we can hit EVERYWHERE we wanted... When hubby called to confirm all our ressies Monday even the CM said... WOW you have ALL the good places on here!!!!

Well I just cancelled our PSD ADR and made one for CMC. I got the time I wanted to, 10am! Hopefully we will eat enough to keep us filled until our ADR at Coral Reef for 5pm. That way we can skip lunch as well and save even more $. A couple reasons why I went with CMC is 1 - I saw the pics of what it looks like inside. And it reminds me of the room we had for our wedding reception. And we are going to CMC on our 4th anniversary. We had a beach wedding and the room that we had for our reception was on the beach, and it was all open and airy like CMC is. 2 - We now have the perfect opportunity to see the Epcot resorts. And 3 - When we head back to Epcot for the rest of the day, we can take the boat back there and have a nice boat ride. Anniversaries are supposed to be all about romantic and relaxing. So I think this is a better fit for us then forcing DH to eat at PSD around a bunch of princesses. Next time we go to Disney, we will try PSD. Or if we get more money back from the stimulus package then planed (we are supposed to be getting $600 according to the IRS calculator. But Im still hoping for the full $1200), I will call back disney dining and see about rebooking PSD for another day while we are there in August.

Yes please do come back here and give us a full review for both places. Pics would be nice to!
